Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised in the Wesley Chapel Community in Houston County. My father, Tommie Johnson is buried in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. I still miss him. If you would like the leave him a flower, please do so. He was a wonderful man. My great-grandmother Anne Lightfoot,is buried in Widnes, England. She passed away not long after my Mother came to Texas.

I am also the ggggrandaughter of Captain Samuel Harrison Bowen, and also James Jennings. Who both lived when the Tea Party first sprang into action.

"Nothing is ended until it is forgotten...."

I believe very strongly in cemetery preservation. Marty Cash, a Fallen Graver, who dearly loved The Houston County Historial Commission, was dedicated heart and soul to recording Houston County Cemeteries, was my mentor. Please visit her memorial page and leave her a flower. Cemeteries in most cases are the only history of those that came before us. Like rare books in a library once it's lost it's lost forever. My only intention is to create a HISTORICAL RECORDING of those who are "Gone, but not Forgotten" before their tombstones are lost forever. This is copied from a fellow graver: "Get out and photograph memorials while they are still readable. This site is primarily for GRAVE photos not genealogy, preserve those memories that are quickly fading."

Genealogy, begins as an interest, becomes a hobby, continues as an avocation and in the last stages, is an incurable disease.

Be sure to hit the edit tab, if you see anything I need to correct.

For those who wonder about such things, when the number of memorials managed is higher than the number of memorials created , this is due to a few members who decided to transfer their memorials to multiple findagrave contributors . . . and I was honored to be one of the contributors trusted to look after some of those memorials.

FROM THE FAQS:
How do I clean a headstone or grave marker?
Unless you are related to the interred on the headstone in question, DO NOT do anything to the headstone.

I am happy to share ANYTHING that I post. I have no crazy rules, My pictures are your pictures. Feel free to beg, borrow, steal with no intent to return. I take pictures of headstones out of kindness ... not for my ego or for the "numbers."

Be kind to one another because - One day we will all be, 'just a name' etched in stone.

This is the day the Lord hath made. I will rejoice and be glad in it! (and not spend the whole day working on Findagrave!)

Connecting families
Carol,
Will you please show the connection of George Patrick Brown memorial # 93700648, buried at Rosemound, Waco, McLennan Co. Tx. to his son Billy Ray Brown memorial # 44380897, also buried at Rosemound, Waco, Mclennan Co. Texas.

George is my great-uncle and Billy Ray is his son.
Thank you for all the things you to help others find and remember their family members.

Re: Richard Pearson #120125359
You sent an edit on this person & have his birth year as 1861. The stone reads 1871. Is this a typo on your part or do you have other documentation that would show the 1861 as the correct date?

You have added several photos of unmarked stones to this memorial, and I have been asked to see if they could be removed. But I suspect these unmarked stones are graves near the "official" stone and might even have been the original stones for this family. Was hoping you could confirm that. Thanks, Deb
