|David Fleming||W. Keith & Phyllis Blood|
I work on "Blood" family genealogy and I saw these two records you just added:
W Keith Blood, Memorial# 155003766
Phyllis Blood, Memorial# 155003760
Garden Bluff Cemetery, Lodi, Wisconsin
I believe these markers are cenotaphs (a monument to someone buried elsewhere).
There are no dates given and are not shown as related but I discovered the following data which shows these two are husband and wife and according to their obituaries and FindAGrave records, are both buried at Saint Margarets Cemetery, Neenah, Wisconsin.
W Keith Blood, Sr, Memorial# 29615315
William Keith Blood (19 MAR 1921-16 JAN 2007)
Phyllis Mary Schultz Blood, Memorial# 150807420
(22 NOV 1920-12 AUG 2015)
They lived at Madison WI for many years and Lodi is mentioned in the obituary where his step-mother was from:
Obit: The Reporter (Oshkosh WI)- January 18, 2007
William Keith Blood, Sr.
W. Keith Blood, Sr., Neenah, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Theda Clark Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 19, 1921 in Madison, son of Percy and Evelyn (Nelson) Blood.
Keith served his country during World War II as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard on the DE USS Chambers in the Pacific and Atlantic theatres. Keith played baseball for many local Madison teams during the 30s, 40s & 50s. While serving on board ship, he was involved in organizing fleet baseball games. In 1941, he married Phyllis Schultz at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Madison and when he returned from the War continued his career at Wolf, Kubly & Hirsig Co and continued his baseball career in Madison. Keith was offered an opportunity to tryout for the St. Louis Cardinals, but was unable to attend because the night before he was to leave he collided with another player and broke almost every bone in his face. While living in Madison, Keith was a Charter Member and President of Sertoma Club. Keith and Phyllis moved to Neenah in 1967 and he went to work for Krueger Hardware in downtown Neenah. He retired from LaForce Hardware in Green Bay in 1985. Keith and Phyllis enjoyed many years traveling in their motor home to Florida and Arizona in the winter and summers in Eagle River during their retirement. Keith's greatest gifts were his sense of humor, his ability to make people smile, love of family and chocolate ice cream.

Nine grandchildren Barb Wilson (Kurt Maehl), Neenah; Laura (Aaron) Cheadle, Minneota, MN; Jennie (Carlos) Martinez, Brian Wilson; Dan Blood, Ann-Marie (Mark) Olsen, Jessica, Megan (special friend Dave) & Adam Coonen; and 18 great grandchildren: Ashley, Brittany, Joseph, Amanda, Joseph, Jacob, Rachel, Sariah, Ruth, Sam, Rebecca, Miguel, Tatiana, Charlie, Emily, Evelyn, Madeline, and Kendal. I was taking pics in Calvary cemetery in Columbis county WI. I mistakenly put Edward M. Lynch 1904-1987 photos on your memorial. Well I removed them and placed them in the correct place. That leaves your photo request down and not fulfilled! Please relist, I'll try to locate next time I am in that area of the state. Marty

Bill, I am not the original creator of this memorial, so I cannot delete it. You might want to contact the original creator.
Are you directly related to Anna Courtwright Polen? She is in my late wife's Courtwright line, so she is directly involved in my research.
That is why I asked for the maintenance of the memorial, but I did not notice the duplication at the time.

I was hoping I might hear back from you by now. Would it be possible to "adopt" my Uncle Joe's memorial in the Cedarville Cemetery from you? It would mean a lot to me. Thanks for your consideration.
|Desertthorn||Never mind, I found it.|
Its called Pioneer Cemetery, Duh.
|Desertthorn||Adin Pioneer Cemetery|
Bill, I must be losing it. I know there was an old cemetery just down the block from Adin. It had one of my husbands relatives, George Oxendine, buried there. I remember adding the picture of the grave. Now I can't find the memorial, I can't find the cemetery and its like gone.
I guess it is possible that they were merged together but they were really two different cemeteries. Do you happen to know what happened to it?

Bill, thank you for posting Uncle Joe's memorial in Cedarville Cemetery. I meant to do it after he passed away, but have been ill the last couple years and unable to do so. As you've kindly done in the past, would you permit me to adopt his site from you so I can continue to add family info and links? My Find A Grave number is 47015825. Thanks you.
