I've been interested in cemetery photography for many years now, especially older cemeteries. The landscapes are usually quite beautiful, the surroundings are peaceful, and it's not often you have to worry about unwanted persons getting in your photos.

Living in western Massachusetts, I'll be a photo volunteer in this area as often as I am able.

Full-size, high resolution images available upon request.

John Adams Bell's headstone
Hi Mark,

Thank you for all your hard work on this site. It really helps us all with our family research.

I see that you took the photo of John Adams Bell's headstone ( Judging from its look and design in comparison with the other stones of that cemetery, it seems likely that the headstone was done sometime after the time of death. Do you know much about headstone history in that region to shed some light on this?

Thank you,

RE: Copyright - Molson in Mount Royal QC
Thank you for the numbers. All photos identical to the two posted today by you have been removed, again with apologies. It was so long ago, in a much more 'innocent' time . . .

RE: Copyright - Molson in Mount Royal QC
With sincere apologies, if I did so, it was several years ago, long before copyright became such a hot and controversial issue here on Find-a-Grave. They were likely found via Google Images. Kindly tell me which memorials are in violation and I will remove the photos immediately.

Brick School Cemetery @ Colrain
Is there a possibility you will be fulfilling photo requests for this cemetery any time soon?

Pilfered Photo
No problem. I figured you wouldn't realize. I think you used to be able to do remove photos but people act like little kids sometimes. I did send her a SAC just in case she didn't realize that she pilfered your photo. Hope the problem gets solved one way or the other.

Pilfered Photo
Hi, I received your SAC regarding the photo. Unfortunately only the person who posted the photo can remove it otherwise I'd be glad to do so. Please contact the Admins at Find A Grave and tell them about the problem. They will remove the photo and hopefully "speak" to the culprit. Sorry this has happened to you.
