If I add marker or cemetery photos to a memorial or cemetery that already has a photo, it has nothing to do with you. Many times it's just a slightly larger photo of the marker, or a closeup, or a different angle. Or sometimes it's just because I have a lot of heart involved in a person's memorial. The main reason is that markers deteriorate so quickly sometimes that I want to preserve as much as possible while we can.
I've been doing genealogy for over 20 years. I had never made a major focus on cemeteries or burials until the last 10 years or so. Now they are very important to me, since I've learned how much more they can tell us about family and history.
Like most of you probably, my family and friends attempt to hide my eyes or distract me when we pass a cemetery. I could probably find a burial related to me or someone I know in most cemeteries in the United States
Most of all I'm grateful to all the wonderful individuals who created and maintain "Find-A-Grave" to help preserve the memories and images of our world-wide family, as well as the other everyday people who contribute here!
Your photo and description of Inez Heath Brown's marker totally confuses me! I'm a descendant of Sherborne (aka Sherbie) Heath and his second wife Sarah. His first wife was Minerva King. Inez is their child. So yes, this is that Inez, but she wasn't born in 1836 she was born in 1856. Could the inscription be corroded or somehow looks like a different number? Inez' husband John Emery Brown is also buried here. Thanks for posting this!
Wesley Waldie Birth Record Thanks for the link to Wesley's birth record. At times the transcriptions are really off the wall. I like ancestry in that I can give corrections. You can't with familysearch.
Richard Lee Richard Lee was my husband's grandfather. He married Mary Sherwood. They divorced. Mary married Frank Kipp. They divorced. Mary married Charles W Ashley. Mary died Nov 4, 1955 at the home of her son Oscar H Lee in Aurelius Twp, Ingham Co, Mi. Mary is buried by Charles Ashley in the Stilson Cemetery, Victor, Clinton Co, Mi. I would be interested in any information you might have on the John Lee Ellen Nash family. Thank you, Marie Webb Lee
RE: John T Harmon photo 95263854 I am sure you thanked me for the photo. I remember the stone and looked it up to see it again. What a wonderful stone it is.In any case you are welcome . Ellen Headington
John Mulliken - Delta Center Cemetery Hi Dialynna, I am wondering who the John Mulliken (Find A Grave #78293466) is that you show buried in Delta Center Cemetery? I have been researching the Mulliken family for many years and am very curious who this could be. There weren't any Mullikens living in this area that I am aware of. Is there a gravestone in this cemetery for this man? Thanks for any help that you can give me. Terri Mulliken Allen Find A Grave #3426348
Sadie M Camp Krieger 38991534 Please edits Sadie's memorial or transfer her to me and I will do the edits. Michael Camp & Barbara Schlessman were not her parents; they were her grandparents. Her parents are Martin Camp and Matilda Magill. This is easily verified by looking at her death certificate, however I am happy to fix her memorial if you transfer her to me. Thank you.
