Ohhh, my heart is full!! Even though there is no lovely old headstone, I've found her!! Thank you for your permission to use this photo for her Ancestry.com page - I will give you full credit!
This is an important one for me and although there is a bit of sadness at no headstone, I'm just so pleased that we know where she is resting.

 | almira vancamp and adopted son Edward Vancamp
Hello and thankyou for posting the information on Almira and her adopted son. Her adopted son's name was Edward Henry Stanley Stevenson. He was born in October 1911 in Butler PA. His birth parents were Martin (Martinius Gustafsson Appelquist) and Erika (Troedsson)Stevenson. Both immigrated to the U. S. in August of 1901 with their oldest son John Stevenson. Erika died of TB when Edward was only 2 years old at their home in Ottawa Kansas. By this time Martin and Erika had 4 children. Edward Vancamp is my Grandfather. He died in September 1966 when I was about 18 months. I have one very vague memory of him. Almira and her husband raised my grandpa but he still knew his brothers and sisters and his father, Martin. It was awesome to find Almira's information on this site and to see my grandfather's name as Almira's adopted son. Thank you!
I have tons of pictures of Edward and a few of Almira and her husband plus several pictures of the houses they lived in. I also have pictures of the McDowells and Niles. | | | DeeDee

Thanks so much for the grave pix for Flora Engle.....one thing I find odd....her husband, Alex Engle, died on the exact same date, also in Minneapolis (their death certificate id#s were only one digit off)...wonder why HE isn't buried with her????
