Bio and Links
Bio Photo i am obsessed with genealogy and family history in my old age (i have not worked or gone to school for about a year; got some software and have really thrown myself into this activity). Recently i went to Kentucky for a friend's child's wedding and got a chance to look at places where my mom's Lillard, Bright, Robinson and Berry families, and others, had lived and to find Lillard tombstones in the cemetery in Danville. Beside them i found Gentry tombstones, so i made a record of those, too, since "Gentry" is one of the names on my family tree. It has been very gratifying to search for records for the people who are related to me and to add to the information on findagrave.com. I hope the information may help others who might not otherwise have known where to find family graves or what dates of birth or death went with what family members. The help with photos is so much appreciated, although i did take some photos in pouring rain in Danville. The historical society people at the information office on Constitution Square were so very helpful to me, as was Erica at City Hall. i hope to continue to add to the body of information on findagrave. i live in Cupertino, CA, so help from KY and NC (where my father's family were) is a big deal to me! i am hoping to return to KY and hoping to also do some work in NC and MO looking for family graves there. My parents are buried in Fort Collins, CO, where i grew up, and i have added those, which gave me a good feeling. Thank you to everyone who has helped me.

William Fletcher
I found my 5th great-grandfather, William Fletcher, mentioned in this book: "Captain Billy Bush and the Bush Settlement, Clark County, Kentucky, A Family ..." By Harry G. Enoch, p. 70-79 at books.google.com
It also mentions Ambrose Bush as well as Rev. Robert Elkin. Thot you might be interested.

RE: Fred W. Hoover memorial
As far as I know, you have the correct info on your Fred W. Hoover now. I don't know about your great aunt as your Hoover family and mine are two separate families. My great uncle Fred C. Hoover was born and remained his entire life in Battle Creek, Madison County, Nebraska. He never married.

Thanks for your response,
Richard L. Hoover

Fred W. Hoover Memorial
Fred W. Hoover. Find A Grave Memorial# 145135015

Biographical Information on this memorial is incorrect. This Fred Hoover was not born in Nebraska, and is not the son of John "C" [sic] Hoover Luella J. Hoover. The siblings listed are also incorrect. I know of this fact because Fred Clarence Hoover has been confused with this listing. Fred Clarence Hoover was born in 1878 in Battle Creek, Madison Co., Nebraska, the son of John D.(Debo) Hoover, Jr. & Luella J. Lowry Hoover. Fred Clarence Hoover had the siblings listed. The Jesse listed was my grandfather. The Fred W. (William) listed in this memorial was born in Missouri, is the son of Samuel W. Hoover (also buried in Orient Cemetery. See Find A Grave Memorial# 8332451. Will you please delete the information found for Fred W. Hoover.
Thank you,

Re: Botts family
Proof! That's what we need! Got a will? Marvin went to the Montgomery County, KY historical society recently and they said Botts was still a big name around there. There used to be a Botts neighborhood in Mt. Sterling. A couple years ago they named a new park "Herb Botts Memorial Park." Thanks for your help!

Re: William Botts
Oh, the confusing world of family history. grin! I know that scenario well -- my mother's father's side loved to reuse names too and the only way to verify who the people were was by their life dates. At the moment I'm chasing down wives -- whose wife was married to whom. Even tombstones may be wrong because the stone carver didn't get the correct information, so then you've got to try to find other documents to prove your family stories. At the moment, my 3rd great-grandfather has 2 or is it 3 different wives/mothers all relayed to me from different cousins and which one is correct?

Wow! Moses Botts -- Thank You!
Do you happen to have any information about Moses' son, William Botts and his descendants? It might help my cousin, Marvin Allen (Find A Grave member #46619263) verify the information that he has found on a Botts that married into his Allen family.
