Bio Photo US NAVY 1966-1968 Silent Service
Radio operator on (2) submarines & a supply ship.
Duty stations in order of service:
Main ID card VA & proud Navy Veteran !!
I specalize in babies (because they never got a chance) and veterans (because they gave us the chances that we have).
I'm hampered by 14K dial-up, so putting in fotos takes a while, be patient.
As a result of sub-service speed, I do most of my postings between 0400-0700 Texas time when internet usage is at a minimum.
Retired from GTE dba Verizon in Plano, Tx in 2007 after 27 years.
The dog in the foto is Precious, she is my constant traveling companion, mess with me and she goes into action, for real. !!!

D.L. and B.L.
James, thanks for the information and your concern for accuracy. would you mind emailing me the photo and let me do a little of my own investigating. I wont post it or use it but if it turns out B.L. is a different family member or David Lawson Van Winkle (D.L.) then I'll let you know so you can fulfill the photo request. Thanks. My email address is tim-wilkinson@outlook.como

D.L. (David) Vanwinkle, Peoria
Morning Tim,
I have the Vanwinkle fotos that U requested but there is a glitch.
The layout I found was D.L., Darcus, Margaret and Rebecca from left to right.
Two problems: Someone put in D.L. Wan Winkle using the foto of the marker that I found beside Darcus, obviously the correct person, spouses beside each other.
That's just a given but here's the glitch. The engraved birth info sez Dec 28. 1882 which is way off base since his bday is in 1829 and these are large, expensive markers.
So lies the quandary. The type of material makes the fotos look bad, difficult to read but when the foto is enlarged, the initials are difinately D.L. vs: B.L. & to make it even more of a mystery, the death dates on the two entries are exact. Logically that makes the marker the correct one but with a birth entry that is wrong.
Any idea who this B.L. might be, if he exists ??
Or since it's your request, U want me to go ahead and post the marker as is. ???
Later, James Coston

RE: Mexia Cemetery
You are correct.

Mahala Katherine (Kate) McCarver Bond and Stephen Finley Bond are the parents of Kate Elizabeth (1882-1892). They had 9 children. I'm working on linking the rest of the kids to their parents now. So to answer your question, please upload photos for all of them. Thanks so much.

RE: Eva Mae Powell, Point Enterprise
You have the right Eva Powell but Mr. Lynch didnt. He said her married name was Hudson, her middle name was leona, and she grew up in Streetman. She was married to Jonathan Monroe Powell, middle name Mae, and grew up in Pt. Enterprise. Thanks! Robin
