Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have always been facinated by cemeteries. I grew up across the street from a large cemetery in Hot Springs, Arkansas and would spend my summer afternoons wondering through the graves admiring the unique headstones. This love has followed me to adulthood as I travel with my job and prefer to pack a lunch and find a lovely cemetery to eat at and wander through than to eat in a restaurant. I just recently found Find A Grave when I began doing genealogy research. I was so touched to see that someone had been sweet and taken a photo of my baby girl's headstone and realized what a wonderful way to be productive when traveling Arkansas and enjoying my lunches and cemeteries.

I give my permission for family members to use the pictures of headstones that I have taken. I keep all of my pictures and will be happy to provide a high resolution picture through email.

Guy Bussey Lawhead
Now I remember where I got in the info. I found the 1922 obit for Guy's father in the Morehouse Enterprise (Bastrop, Louisiana). It listed all the kids. I've worked my way from 1921 to 1929. Have many more issues to go through

Freida, I'm sending a notice from a newspaper (1927) while searching for Rev. E.J. O'Neal, and it happened he conducted the funerals of both Charlie and his wife.
Hope you find it useful; I'll send it by the edit method.

RE: Roy John Walker
McMillan would be her first marriage. Do you know her maiden name? Roys father's obituary mentions stepchildren.

No I am not related. I am doing research for a friend of mine on the Ruch family. I have Roy's parents as Elmer B. Walker and Carrie Adell Lownsbury. Who was his step mother? I can try to search for her if you would like.

Your welcome and yes you may use any of my pictures that I post. This cemetery is in very sad shape. We have a group of military men that are going to clean some in it because there are several WW1 veterans buried there. Also I think the historical society was going to contact the families of anyone buried there if they would like to help with the clean up. This is such an interesting old cemetery.

Freida, Can you please move Delois Brewer Black to the Murphy Baptist Cemetery. It is back on the Montgomery County list again after find a grave took it off. Thanks, Susan
