US NAVY 1966-1968 Silent Service|
VIET-NAM VETERAN (Radioman)
Radio operator on (2) submarines & a supply ship.
Duty stations in order of service:
USS RASHER AGSS-268
USS BAYA AGSS-318
USS GRAFFIAS AF-29
Main ID card VA & proud Navy Veteran !!
I specalize in babies (because they never got a chance) and veterans (because they gave us the chances that we have).
I'm hampered by 14K dial-up, so putting in fotos takes a while, be patient.
As a result of sub-service speed, I do most of my postings between 0400-0700 Texas time when internet usage is at a minimum.
Retired from GTE dba Verizon in Plano, Tx in 2007 after 27 years.
The dog in the foto is Precious, she is my constant traveling companion, mess with me and she goes into action, for real. !!!

|Sadie E Richardson Williams Allen||Itasca Cemetery information|
The information you seek is at the Clayton-Kay-Vaughn Funeral home. The lady who keeps the records is ClayDeen. That map will not correspond to the information at Find A Grave.
The map that you need is the same one for the adjoining Luke Tipton Cemetery. There is a link posted on the Itasca Cemetery page linking the two together. In other words, the Luke Tipton map is actually the map for both.
Use the map on the Luke Tipton page...it shows the area as ONE big Cemetery...as it should have been all along. This combined map corresponds to the information on Find a Grave and will help you locate graves. The map at the funeral home has old information and is a patchwork with the plots in no logical order at all.
Just click the link on the Itasca page and use the map designated as the Luke Tipton map.

Thank You so much for the picture. We are up in Wichita Falls and haven't been back down there since the funeral.

Thank you for the beautiful pictures of Weedell's monument at Itasco. The photos are such good quality, they far exceeded my expectations.
Also extending my thanks on behalf of my friend, who is no longer able to visit the cemetery.

Sorry for the delay. Had some serious medical issues. Doing much better now. About your inquiry, I don't have a Griffin member in the Woodland Cemetery. I don't know the memorial in question.

Thanks for your help James.

I'm glad the plot map was useful. I just wish I could post it on main page. Thanks for the quick response with photos. I think the overview, in addition to the marker, is very effective.
Regards and thanks for your work for FindAGrave.com.
