I have spent the last 10 years documenting cemeteries in the Beallsville/Scenery Hill/ Centerville area of Washington Co., PA - specifically Beallsville Cemetery and several Hill family cemeteries. Most of the photos I've taken can be located at www.beallsvillecemetery.org along with scanned images of interment records, lot owner books, plotmaps, obituaries, photos, for Beallsville Cemetery. There are 8000+ burials in the cemetery so I continue to build and add to the website.|
I have been adding memorials to this site for Beallsville cemetery, using a combination of interment records and tombstone inscriptions. I've noticed that some of the dates that are listed in the interment listings as death dates are actually burial dates and may be off by a day or two. For burials that have no associated tombstone, I can only list what is in the cemetery records. If you have any corrections for the death dates or other related information, I'm happy to hear from you so I can correct the cemetery website.

Thank you Debbie !!
You are one amazing woman !! I am in awe of all the work you've done on the Beallsville Cemetery, etc. And being so willing to help others (like me) makes you a very special contributor to Find A Grave. My deepest and heartfelt thanks for all the info you've provided me these past few weeks and for the info you provide for the benefit of so many others.

The Sargent's are in my family tree via marriage. Emma Gladden married Johnson Sargent (his third wife). Her sister Sarah Belle (aka Isabelle, her tombstone has Belle) Gladden married Joseph Horner, my great grandparents. I am looking at several family history writings and information supplied by Lowrie B Sargent Jr. (1918-1981) I am trying to add any information that I see that will add to the gravesite information. Thanks

Thank you for all the updates the last few days, also for the many in the past. I may have more as I get to another generation.

This L. F. Baker was married to my great aunt after Mary's death. I am not sure as yet where my great aunt Sade is buried but doesn't seem to be in Taylor cemetery. I have other photos of him and also items like books he gave to family members. He and Aunt Sade were both older when they married but I believe he and Mary had children. Thanks for all you do. Linda

Debbie I am writing again regarding my great uncle
His wife on grave marker Mary #111554353 is not connected to him. Her birthdate is 12/20/1929 or possibly 1928. Can't make it out.

This one has always been tricky! Hannah lists herself as widowed in some early censuses, but she went by her maiden name. Her daughter lists William Allen as her father. As for Hannah actually being married to William Allen, it is anybody's guess.
I changed both Hannah's and Jennie's maiden name from Allen to Duvall to be more correct.

Debbie, you submitted death certificate for Lewis Baker #111554318. I think he was married to my great aunt Sadie Camp. The photo looks very much like an original photo I have. She was his second wife as he was a widower. Would you be related to him? I don't know where Sadie is buried. They had no children.
