The earth will never be the same again.
Rock, water, tree, iron share this grief
As distant stars participate in pain.
A candle snuffed, a falling star or leaf,
A dolphin death, O this particular loss
Is Heaven-mourned; for if no angel cried,
If this small one was tossed away as dross,
The very galaxies then would have lied.
How shall we sing our love's song now
In this strange land where all are born to die?
Each tree and leaf and star show how
The universe is part of this one cry,
That every life is noted and cherished,
And nothing loved is ever lost or perished.

Herkimers in McIntyre Cemetery
Hi Monica,

Thank you for creating the memorials for the Herkimer family. I was thrilled to find them. Henry Herkimer (Find A Grave#11523460) and his wife, Elizabeth Dingman Herkimer (Find A Grave#11523465) are my ggggrandparents. Their son, Robert C. Herkimer (Find A Grave#11523467)was my gg grandfather. Robert was married to Augusta McManus, but I have been unable to find her. Do you know if they were buried together and share a stone? I would love maintain the memorials if you would transfer them to me so I can link the family together.

I appreciated all of the work you have done to create and maintain these so others may benefit from them

Almira Littlefield
Please check your records. You have James M Littlefield listed as Almira's son. She was only 5 years old when he was born.

RE: hi :)
Hi, In answer to your question, Eva Woodward's maiden name is Eva Dawn Potter. Her parents were Elmer Jeremy Potter and Elva Lisha (Haley) Potter. Both died in Michigan, Elmer in Carleton in 1911, Elva in St. Joseph, Berrien county, in 1929, but I don't know where either is buried.
Thanks for all you do! from Darrell
