I have been doing genealogy for many years. One of my favorite things in researching is visiting cemeteries. I love to just walk around the tombstones and try to imagine what the people's lives might have been like. I have been contributing tombstone pictures to this site to help fellow genealogists that are a distance away that can't visit their relative's gravesite in person. |
My family has been a big assistance to me in my project for this website. My son, Trenton, my daughter, Alena, and my husband, Terry, have helped me take tombstone photos. So a big "THANKS" goes out to all three of them!!
Quote from Findagrave: "The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. THE ULTIMATE GOAL SHOULD BE TO HAVE MEANINGFUL, ACCURATE MEMORIALS THAT HONOR THOSE WHO HAVE PASSED AWAY, REGARDLESS OF WHO CREATED THE MEMORIAL OR WHO MAINTAINS IT." Please keep this in mind when you request a transfer as it takes a lot of time and money to do research to add memorials to this site. I love working on this site, but I have run into some problems just recently.
I DO WELCOME ADDITIONS, CORRECTIONS AND FAMILY LINKS. The more information the better!! I usually get the updates done within 1 or 2 days.

|Russ Nixon||Thank You|
Thanks for all you do with/for genealogy and thanks for being such a champ when it comes to promptly posting corrections and updates. With as many graves as you photograph, manage and update, you do an absolutely phenomenal job. I truly appreciate your efforts and I'm sure many others do too. (Thanks to your husband and children also for sharing you with us)

Thanks for all your time and effort to document cemeteries. I was happy to see a pic of William Hand in Indiana and I was wondering if I could use his picture in my ancestry tree as well as on Fold3. I will of course give you credit for the picture and reference your findagrave member #.
I don't have any extra information to add for William at this time. I think he may have been married to a cousin. I did find his service card at fold3 but it didn't hold any additional information.

I'm confused by two obits - Jennie's daughter, Melba's obit indicates her mother was Jennie Stonebraker, with no mention of Meneley. One of them may be a mistake, or there's another piece of information I don't have...

I just suggested that Jennie's maiden name was Meneley (from her obit, which I posted) There was a Jennie Stonebraker living in Champaign, IL, but I think it's a separate person. It looks like the way private edit "suggestions" are being handled has changed, and now someone at findagrave reviews a suggestion before making an edit?
I just want you to know, in case you have better info than I do!

Thanks for adding the birthdate. Greatly appreciated.
|J. (Foster) Cruz||Georgiana Forbes|
Thanks for adding birth year to the memorial. Thank you for all the work you have done on Find A Grave. It is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time to photograph Harry Kuemmerle's grave marker. His daughter was married to my great uncle and I've been trying to find out a bit more about their family.
