Happy Anniversary! You've been on Find A Grave for three years! Thank you so much for your work in Ottawa Cemetery. You found my third Great Grandfathers gravestone! Thank you so much! I was in LeSueur County some 15 years ago, searching with my father and grandfather. They would be so happy to know there is a marker for this Civil War Veteran! I hope to return to see it in person, but seeing this picture completely MADE MY DAY! Thanks so much for your work!

ANN & BOB WINEGAR
Robert E and William G. Winegar families
Richard, Thank you for uploading photos of all the Winegar family graves in the Ottawa, MN cemetery. Robert and William Winegar are very distant relatives of my husband, and I was pleased to find them all on FindAGrave.com. Thank you for your work.
Are you a relative of the Winegar's? Sincerely, Ann and Bob Winegar

RE: JM Abbott
Hi Richard,
Thanks for the quick reply. If you look at the original image of 1850 census for Sharon, Potter Co., PA, you'll see the Carpenter name is for the family living next to the Abbotts. I do not believe they were related. Mary Abbott had been head of her household for some time, moving to Sharon from Tioga Co., PA. In researching the other census records, Jerry was born in 1834 so he was 47 when he died. The 4 must have weathered to look like a 1.

It's the father's name that I have been searching for, so if it was on the stone, this is new and welcoming information for me. If you are able to locate the stone and take a picture before it becomes completely illegible, that would be a treasure indeed.

In searching through family files posted on ancestry.com, one compiler states that Julia's maiden name was Downs, but I only found this once.

Thank you very much for time and attention.

RE: JM Abbott
Assumming this is Jerry M. Abbott who was married to Julia at the time of his death, would you be able to tell me where the note about his parents name came from? (i.e. John D. Abbott and Margarette). Any information would be greatly appreciated. Please email me at west@fairpoint.net.
Thanks,
Victoria West

Thank you so much for the correction. His memorial page at the Saint Peter State Hospital Original Cemetery has been deleted. I will also correct the church cemetery records.

Alice Medora Winegar Luce
Hi Richard
I am trying to place the above with her parents.
She married William Wesley Luce 1877 Leseuer Co. MN. His father Benjamin Franklin Luce and mother Julia A Root Luce. Alice and William W. Luce had daughter Edna L. Luce b. June 1878 probably Sharon, Laseaur Co. MN.
Did she die young or did they divorce? Edna living 1900 Sherwood Pct, King Co., WA. in same boarding house as her father W.W. Luce and his second wife Lula B.
Would appreciate any help.

Hello Richard,

I ran across your entry for the above grave, and was thrilled to find her. Many thanks for posting it. Mary was a sister of my g-grandmother. Are you a relative of hers?

Please get in touch either through find a grave, or by email if you are interested in discussing. At the least, I'd like you to be able to link her to her parents on Find A Grave.

Best regards,and Happy New Year!
