Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love to do genealogy on my own family and helping other's with theirs. I have several hobbies and never enough time - 1 hobby being Geocaching which has led me to many cemeteries so I am lucky to be able to combine the 2 - although my wife doesn't always feel the same :o)
I find great joy in helping other's by getting photo's for find a grave and giving them that Ah Ha moment!

I am researching the following surnames: Carmichael, Chastek (Chvastek), St. Germaine & Taylor families of New York - any info is appreciated :o)

THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN
Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

Elizabeth Huntington Ball
I should have said her brother, Daniel Walker Ball, and her sister, Jennie Belle Ball Newcomb, are buried there, too.

I assume you worked from a list of internments but in case you walked this cemetery, I wonder if there was one more Ball; Elizabeth Huntington Ball b. 1883 and presumed died 1908. Her mother was
Mary Walker Ball, her father, Charles Seldon Ball so it would make sense for her to be there, too. I thought I would check for a burial there first.

Problems Adding Parents
Hi

I have tried several times to add the parents to Philip A LoVerdi #103164048
I keep getting an error message about the spouse already being there (it is auto-populated) and it will not proceed.
Can you try to add the parents for me?

father: #88938523
mother: #103163993

I would appreciate that. If it does not work, please let me know and I will forward the problem to Find A Grave support to figure it out.
Thanks for your help!
