|Bio and Links|
Started researching the family roots about 1990. researching the names ROBERTSON, WAGGONER, DECKARD, SEXTON, HAMMOND, ALEXANDER, BROWN, SWANGO, GIBSON, COWLES, TAYLOR, VANCE, AND GRAMLIN. Have just recently started taking digital cemetery pictures of stones to add to family tree collections. |
I decided to start contributing these pictures on line to share with other's in search of these Ancestors.
These bios and pictures may not be published for sale or sumitted to websites that charge a subscription.
Please send any corrections or pictures via "EDIT" button and I will correct or add to these collections and give credit to the person submitting. If you are a family member of one of my postings and would like ownership to add bios or pictures feel free to do so.
These entries are dedicated to our two sons, grandchildren and future generations in search of their roots.
Have been working 5 years on photographing & posting WALNUT RIDGE CEMETERY, JEFFERSONVILLE, IN to FAG.
DO NOT USE BLEACH TO CLEAN WHITE MILITARY STONES AS IT WILL TURN THEM YELLOW AND THE DAMAGE CANNOT BE UNDONE.

I have submitted an edit for Donald Prather. The reason being that he is linked to the wrong father. There are several Earl Prathers. The one he is now connected to, I have known all my life. He has no deceased children. None of them are name Donald. Thank you.

I was wondering if you could please transfer Ollie Mitchell # 84635762 to me. She is my grandfather's sister. I have been looking for her for ages. Tonight I found her death certificate by a fluke and it led me to her burial at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. I would like to link her to her brothers and parents. Thank you so much. I see that you are interested in Taylor in genealogy, I am a Taylor and have much history on the lineage. If I can be of help. Thank you again. I would also like permission to use your photo in my family history giving you credit of course. Hoping to hear from you.

|Forrest Willey||RE: George Bennett|
I'm glad the edits are appreciated. I grew up in the house that Mr. Bennett lived in after he and Myrtle Seabrooks were married until his passing. The house also has a tie to the Robertson Cemetery near Maumee through Henry P. Robertson.
My interest in Mr. Bennett comes from his contributions to the area around Honeytown and articles in the old Seymour Tribune that paint a colorful picture of his life. Most of the large farmhouses and barns standing near Honeytown today were built by him. All of his houses have gorgeous built-in cabinets/furniture and were framed on native timbers. I live in one of them, previously owned by Moses and Theresa Sewell who are both buried in the Robertson Cemetery at Honeytown.
At any rate, I see you are interested in the Waggoner family on your profile. My wife's maiden name is Waggoner and is related to the Waggoners that settled the Spraytown, IN area. I may have information if there are any blanks you need filled in.
|Judy Philpott||Vena mae ( Duncan ) Chambers - Philpott|
i am kindly asking that you make the following corrections on Find a grave for my mother Vena mae Chambers Philpott. It reads Vena Mae Duncan.She never went by that name even tho it was on her birth record. She wanted to be known as the daughter of William and Rosa Chambers. Also my father mane was spelled wrong. It should be spelled Ottis not Otis.

Thanks, Janet!! You do great work!! I thought Ralph Ballard had a stone by now but his obituary did say that he was going to be buried at Walnut Ridge.
