My husband and I have been genealogy enthusiasts for over 20 years---researching the Farmer, Bayless, Griffith, Rich families of eastern Tennessee; and Hollen, Carpenter, Bowling, Royston, Allen families also of eastern Tennessee.|
I love visiting cemeteries, posting pictures and information. I have found valuable information on my family through FindAGrave, and hope I can be of help for someone else searching for their family link.
We reside in Ohio but frequently travel to Tennessee visiting cemeteries between here and there.
I'm happy to transfer a file and you are welcome to use my photos, as long as they are for your own records.
For corrections or edits, please use the "edit" tab on the memorial page located at the top right above the photo.
THANKS to all you FindAGravers for your contributions!

On 8/4/2014 you kindly added a photo of the headstone for Barclay Donaldson. I have just set up a memorial for his wife, Lizzie Donaldson. Would you be willing to copy the photo to Lizzie's memorial#167338288 or give me permission to do so? Thank you. Barb K

|Joseph Farmer||RE: Thomas Farmer|
I honestly don't know. More than likely the same person except one says born in Virginia and one says born in North Carolina. I haven't been able to trace my own line the these particular Farmers although I may well have descended from them.
|WildGeese15||RE: Thomas Farmer (1750-1818)|
Thomas Farmer is among my ancestors, listed in the book Descendants of Thomas Farmer who came to Virginia in 1616. A Genealogy Collected and compiled by Ellery Farmer Col US Army, retired. (c) 1955. Someone found the book and transcribed it to a website: http://farmerfamily.org/ellery_farmer/index.htm. You should be able to find what little information there is on him at that website. I have nothing else available.

I descend from Thomas Alexander Farmer through his son Benjamin James, then Benjamin James Farmer's second son William/Wilborn/Wilburn A. Farmer. Enoch's other brother Jesse headed west before the Civil War, and nephew Benjamin James Farmer followed him.
