If you contact me, please take a moment to say hello, good morning, or hey how are ya. On occasion I get "suggest a correction" notices that are brief, abrupt, and unfriendly in tone and seem more like robot communication than actual human beings. It's a personal pet peeve and I don't react well to those sorts of messages. A little simple human courtesy goes a long way with me.
I research my family history in southwestern and south central Pennsylvania for the most part, although I live in northeastern New Jersey. Counties of interest include Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Fayette, Washington, Indiana, and others.
PLEASE: If you request an interaction with me, whether to discuss a memorial or request a transfer, please do not be "Anonymous" and not provide any means to contact you. I recently had someone request a transfer but when I tried to contact the person, was told that the submitter was anonymous and there was no way to leave a public message for him or her. I'm not comfortable with this method of communicating. Thanks.
PLEASE: If you write to me via "Suggest a Correction" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide me with evidence in the form of some kind of documentation for any edits you'd like me to make. This is especially true if I don't already know who you are. It's not possible for me to simply accept what someone out of the blue tells me is valid without sources, documentation, proof or some other compelling argument. Sorry to sound like a grouch, but that's just the way my work goes.
photograph of Hugh Manard Graham 1818-1884 Hello Michael, I am Holly Paradis and I live in Boca Raton, FL. e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org. I am not paranoid about my contacts, and I agree there is something puzzling about people who seek information and yet are secretive. The photograph of my ancestor's, Hugh Maynard Graham 1818-1884, head stone prompted me to wonder if you too are related to my venerable ancestor, the founder of Seward, Pa.! Hugh Graham is my grandmother's grandfather; she talked about him as if he was still alive and she was proud of him. His son, Seward, grandma's uncle, was a bachelor who left a generous inheritance that provided for my mother's college education which, in turn, enriched my life. For that reason, I benefited directly from Hugh's industry and accumulated wealth. Thank you, Holly Paradis
RE: Kipp Hi Michael; I was getting tired last night while downloading the photos. Please go back to the Kipp request, I have added four more photos. It looks like you may be looking for Benjamin Kipp, his data is on the same monument, but the other side. Chuck15238
Old Brookville Cemetery Hi Michael, I am so sorry that I couldn't find the grave you requested, both my daughter and I looked over the entire cemetery. There are so many faceless tombstones that it makes finding someone very hard. Once again I am sorry. Tammy
Sarah Barron # 135639370 Hi Michael...Dory McGee here...my Find A Grave# is 47924781. I would like to request a transfer of Sarah Barron's memorial to me, please. She is my husband's 2nd cousin 3x removed. I have been working on family genealogy and have quite a bit of info I could add to her memorial. Thank you for all the work you do on Find A Grave! It's wonderful finding long ago relatives to add to the family tree!
