My focus is primarily on Catholic families from Allegany County, Maryland and Mineral County, West Virginia. I am always happy when I can share local knowledge to help people find their ancestral roots. When I am not doing genealogy, I love ballroom dancing, tennis and Zumba. I am also a self-taught artist and make jewelry. If I have posted a memorial for one of your ancestors, I will be happy to transfer it to you.A friend and I are currently working on uploading burials from St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Cumberland, Maryland. So far, burials from 1853-1939 have been added. Please let me know if you see any errors in my posts; I will be happy to fix them. And I am happy to transfer memorials of your family to you.|

You're very welcome! Thank you for your contributions to F-A-G!
|Russ Pickett||RE: Thank you for all you do.|
Thank you very much for your very kind words. I appreciate it. :-)
It's those soldiers that are "Missing In Action" that tug on my heart the most and also those that aren't even recorded anywhere at all on the web to show what they did for our country. And I've found at least a thousand such soldiers and have since recorded them on Find A Grave. I just finished recording 10 airmen who died in 1944, all missing, that weren't recorded anywhere as even dying ....
Believe it or not, the families of soldiers buried in overseas cemeteries actually had the option of bringing them home for burial or leaving them where they were .... and they actually choose to leave them where they died.
What you are doing by trying to connect them to their families is also an "awesome" work and I hope you continue your quest. :-)
So thank you very much as well .... for the great work you are doing for them!!

Hello Shawn -
Checking to see if you would be willing to transfer Cecelia Catherine Ann McCusker and Joseph Logsdon to me. This is my Great Great Great Grandfather and Grandmother. I will attached the grave markers. Pretty much all of the Mt. Olivet's residents are direct to me. Thanks.

Find A Grave Memorial# 99938349
Submitted edit for his obit:
KILLED IN MINE
James Hosken Lost His Life Friday Morning in C. C. C. Mine No. 7.
Mrs. James Hosken, a miner, was crushed under a fall of roof coal last Friday at mine No. 7 of the Consolidation Coal Co., at Lord.
The unfortunate man was at work with his two stepsons, John and Jake Crosby, both of whom escaped injury, but the elder man was not in position to get away so quickly and was caught under the fall and instantly killed.
The deceased man was a son of the late John Hosken and is well and favorably known in Frostburg, where he has spent all his life.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and two stepsons mentioned. One sister, Mrs. Charles Dickey, with whom the mother makes her home, and one brother, Mr. Howard Hosken of Braddock, Pa., also survives.
Published Thursday, May 12, 1910 in THE CUMBERLAND ALLEGANIAN, Cumberland, Maryland on page 4, col. 4.
