|Magpie||Godfrey: Julia & Julius C. Leach|
Thank you for adding the Godfrey memorial and the information about his children to the website.
I am a LEACH descendant, from the brother of Julius C. Leach.
I was wondering if you knew if Julius C. Leach had an obituary posted in Madison Co. IL at the time of his death, or any bio published about him as I am trying to find more information about his (and Julius') parents Lucien Bonaparte Leach and Harriet C. Moore.
I know from family stories handed down that my grandmother, Jessie C. Leach, visited Julia Godfrey Leach and tried to comfort her around the time of the death of her husband and two children as Julia was devastated and heart broken. Jessie also attend the school that Godfrey started in Monticello, IL - but that is all I know about the relationship.
Any further information you could share with me would be well appreciated.

|Doug Jones||Bloss Cemetery|
Could you please tell me where THIS Bloss cemetery is? Just this Father's day weekend I visited a Bloss Cemetery and got pictures of Sherrod and Sarah Adkins and posted them on a Bloss site here.
Also, my computer is telling me the picture of Edward Adkins tombstone is corrupted, and will not let me copy it. Would appreciate a good copy please. Edward is my GGGGrandfather. Thanks

Hi - thank you for your reply - yes please transfer Robert Eplin over to me and I will move him to the correct cemetery...
We used to only have the 2 cemeteries in Wayne - and now we have 4 BLANKENSHIP FAMILY CEMETERIES and it is getting to be confusing as to just where someone is buried...
Thank you so much for replying...
g-granddaughter of John W. Blankenship and 2nd cousin once removed of Robert Eplin

I am the genalogist in the BLANKENSHIP FMAILY - of Francis Marion and Margaret Crockett Blankenship...
I'm contacting everyone who has posted memorials and information for the Blankenship Cemetery that is located up Blankenship Fork Rd.
There are actually 2 Blankenship Family Cemeteries - up there:
The Ben Blankenship Cemetery is located at:
And the John Blankenship Cemetery is located at:
The John B Cemetery was actually OUR ORIGINAL FAMILY CEMETERY but due to some family issues!! LOL another one was begun on Uncle Ben's property...
There are 10 people listed as being buried in the Blankenship Cemetery - which is actually very close to where the John Blankenship cemetery really is and NONE OF THESE PEOPLE ARE REALLY BURIED IN MY G-GRANDFATHER'S CEMETERY...
I'm going to set up the Ben Blankenship Cemetery and the John Blankenship Cemetery and then we can get these people in the correct cemeteries...
Also need to find out just where the Floyd Blankenship Cemetery is located on Cherry Branch Rd.
Please contact me

DJ, If you are coming from Grayson, take the AA spur(9) you will make a left on Kinney/Kinniconick Road. I'm not sure of distance, but I think only a few miles. There will be a church and a green road sign saying Armstrong Cemt.on the right. Hope this helps!
Hi, DJ. On memorial #17004263, you have Harry Cremeans' wife Lucy Cremeans listed as Lucy Yeager Cremeans. I believe she was actually a Madden. Harry's mother was a Yeager.

I have same info re: William except a b. date of 1790. Do you have any birth record(s) for him? Maybe I have the wrong William! Thanks!

Hi DJ! I am looking for any info on John O. Godfrey, b. 1816 in Kennebec, Maine, and d. bef. 1870 in Newark, NJ. His first marriage was in Ohio, second in Newark, NJ. He was supposedly the son of William Godfrey (b. 1776 Kennebec, ME), who was the son of Prince (b. 1740 Chatham, MA) and Phebe Merithew Godfrey. Any thoughts? This is my "brick wall"!
