Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a native of Cabell County, WV, born and raised, and a 1998 graduate of Marshall University with a BSN in nursing. I have been blessed with 3 children and 8 beautiful grandchildren.
Of all the things I take pleasure with, genealogy is my passion. It has been my hobby for over 25 years. In 1997, I volunteered to coordinate the Cabell County, WVGenWeb at Rootsweb.com. I can't post the cemeteries I've read fast enough on FindAGrave.
Most of my entries on FAG were done before they added the update to link parents and spouse. I work on adding this information every day. Please DO NOT take the photos I've posted and add them to your family tree on Ancestry.com. These are my photos and taking them without my permission is stealing and against the law. Please do no post death certificate taken from WV Culture web site to my entries on FAG.

Hannah, Boothe or Bishop?
Hi Candie, I was looking at John William Elexander Martin's page and his parents are listed as Harvey Martin and Hannah Boothe. However, I was doing some light research and found where someone listed his parents as Harvey Martin and Hannah Bishop. I understand you're much more experienced at this than me, and was thinking that maybe you can clear this up for me? Thanks! I'm sure you're busy, so take your time...

ADKINS, Idona Alice (Queen) #98855731
Hi Candie,

Sincerely appreciate all the work you do for all of us on Find A Grave and other sites.

As Idona is in my Queen-Maynard lineage, would you mind transferring her memorial to me? If not, would you please link her to her father, Lewis Queen, Queen's Ridge Cemetery (my family cemetery), Mem # 20254025.

Idona and I both descend from Absalom & Nancy (Murphy) Queen.

Again, my sincere appreciation .. Della

Anna Jean Jarrell Meadows
Hi Candy,

Anna Jean Jarrell Meadows was my mother's double first cousin. We are building an extensive database of the Jarrell/Selbee/Bellomy genealogy in Find A Grave to match our extensive work @ Ancestry. Would you be so kind as to transfer her over to us. My user number is 47110177. If you are interested in any of those lines, I can send you an invitation to our tree.

Sincerely yours,
Carl Rice

RE: Warner Martin
Thanks, I have a few photos I can put up, but of course I want to make sure the family is alright with it. I've got one of Henry Roscoe Chaney (my Great-Grandfather on the Chaney side), and I'm going to ask my dad Greg, if I can post a photo of Steven Kent Martin.

That would be great, Candie. Let me know if I can photograph anyone for you in Delaware.

Candie, you have a picture of the cemetery where my grandparents are. I wonder if you would have time to take a picture of their grave and whether you see my aunt, Opal White, buried nearby? Thanks in advance, whether or not you're able to do this.

What is our connection?
Hello Candie, my name is Steve and I'm the Grandson of Warner Martin. Much to my surprise I saw a photo of my Great-Grandfather Zell on this site. Thanks for contributing it, I'd never seen a photo of him before. Are you and I related? I'm embarrassed that I don't know the answer to that question.

I am Derrick's aunt and I was wondering if you could transfer his page to me. You posted it before I had a chance to.

I would appreciate it very much.

Lee Dillie/Dilley
Candy
Could you look into something for me? In the Dillie/Harless Cemetery on Bowen Road, Cabell County, there is a Lee Dillie born April 23, 1819, died June 29, 1920...101 years old. Do you know anything about him. He is buried beside by great grandfather Joseph Winfield Dilley Sr. I believe he is his father but I can't find anything, not even a death certificate, or a newspaper article saying "death of a 101 year old man" (don't think it was that common back then!) Sure could use some help, and since you know alot about Cabell County and history, am reaching out to you!
