This is a fun and interesting hobby for me, as well as a great way to perform a meaningful community service to others. Someday I hope to have more free time to devote to it. Yes, I'm in it for the numbers! The more memorials that are on this site, the better chance of people finding relatives. That's what this is all about.|
In fairness to those who may have closer ties to a memorial, please read the Transfer Guidelines prior to requesting a transfer. I will make exceptions if I am personally doing work for you. You do not need to "manage" every memorial that is part of your family tree. Remember that this site is for locating burials, not building a tree. There are other websites that are more suitable for that purpose. I will be happy to make any links and corrections. PLEASE use the SAC feature ("Edit" tab). Please do not ask me to do links to any "Burial Unknown". Do your homework, first. FIND A GRAVE ADMINISTRATORS SUPPORT THIS POLICY. Please feel free to add photos where appropriate, as you do not need to manage the memorial to add photos.
I will not cut and paste raw data from census records, death indices, etc. A nicely written bio is preferable.
Since March 2013 I have taken over management of memorials in Inglewood Park Cemetery from Chris Mills. Please continue to send suggestions for corrections using the "Edit" tab and I will get to them as soon as I can.

Thank you for adding the photo of where Harriet is buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery, however the photo is from such a distance I cannot read the headstone. Can you get a closer view? Thanks much! KC

Dear miss Waters,
Thank you for your message.
I respect your decision but I want to get something strait.
Yes I am buidling a memorial and using Find A Grave photos. I am working on this project for over two months asking everybodies permission and no my name will not be at the bottem of the page pretending it is my work. I thank all contributers and photographers of www.findagrave.com! I have searched and contacted over 210 Find A Grave menbers personally.
Yes I am a member for two years and have not added one photo. My hobby is serving the 457th Bomb Group website and making sure their memories will not be forgotten. I whish I had time to make photos.
I again respect your decision but please don't make it sound like I am in this for myself or miss use members for this project. This would be disrespectfull for those who lost their lives in WWII!

Dear mister Waters,
my name is Erwin de Mooij and I am the content webmaster for the 457th Bomb Group Association website.
At this moment I am working on a virtual cemetery/memorial on the website honering all 339 KIA/MIA/KIS of the group.
I saw your picture of Charles Ford's grave marker and I was wondering if I could use it for the memorial. If you made any other photos of 457th BG members would I be able to use these too?
We would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks so much for taking the Treiber photos! Too bad the place is so dark. Makes it challenging for you to photograph! I really appreciate all the photos you took. I will be looking into the missing name. Thanks again!
