We have been tracing our family trees for a number of decades. As part of that research, we have walked a number of cemeteries photographing the gravestones. Jim's genealogy centers on Mason County, WV and Elizabeth's family comes from the western New York area. |
ADDITIONS or CORRECTIONS
Please submit these with the "Suggest a Correction" link under the white "Edit" tab on the memorial page. If you are requesting a link, please include the memorial's ID number in the request.
The purpose of Find A Grave is to record burial locations, not build your family tree. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request.
If you wish to gather your family members, use the "Virtual Cemetery" feature. Many volunteers spend countless hours walking, photographing, and uploading memorials as a genealogical resource for everyone.
Requests for transfers outside the "Family First" policy will not be honored. (Note: "Family First" as defined by Find A Grave in the FAQs are direct relatives within four generations as siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren)
All the current policies on transfers can be found at "How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?" under the "Help with Find A Grave" link on the left hand side of the page.
Photographs we have taken can be used on other websites or in printed materials ONLY if credit is given to Findagrave.com (including cemetery name) and credit is given to "Jim and Elizabeth" as photographers. Any images we have uploaded are copyrighted and are not free for the taking without proper credit.

|Elizabeth Prosser||Wyatt Pamer's death date|
Wyatt did not die until 1850 or early 1851. He received his last pension payment in March 1851, but is not in the 1850 census. He also made affidavit in mar 1847 as to his sister Sabra's marriage in Stonington CT. Also his father was Jonathan Wyatt Palmer.
|Sally||RE: DeEtta Billiar|
Thank you, Elizabeth. What is really interesting is that we never heard of this child. All her siblings are deceased and only one would have been old enough to remember. The others may never have known. Florence (Dahn) Billiar is at "St. John's Cemetery, Alden" and Edward (Heinrich (=Henry) Edward) Billiar is at a different cemetery but we don't know which one. They were Catholic.

|John Sloan||Thank you|
Jim and Elizabeth, Thank you for posting the photos in Leicester Cemetery. They are filling in missing data from my extended family research.
In your description you indicate that her parents were Edward Billiar and Florence Dahn Billiar. Those are my husband's grandparents! Would you happen to know if they are buried in the same place? I would be very interested in anything else you might share, and would be glad to share the little I know.

I deleted my memorial for Travis, thanks for pointing it out. And thank you for the wonderful photo.
|debjean||Sadie Avery Jeffres|
I found the post on Find a Grave for Sadie Avery Jeffres and noted that you have the wrong parents for her.
Her parents were Solomon Avery and Margaret Bradley. Her sister Ida Avery who married Albert E. Dye is my 2x great grandmother. William Avery (1864-1945) was her brother.
If you would like additional information, please contact me at email@example.com.

Thanks for the picture of Margaret's tombstone.
We are interested because of her marriage to her second husband, Howard Quait.
|LindaC||Hannah Emma (Beebe) Cooley - Leicester Cemetery|
