"When ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God."|
This is a fun and interesting hobby for me, as well as a great way to perform a meaningful community service to others. Someday I hope to have more free time to devote to it.
In fairness to those who may have closer ties to a memorial, please read the Transfer Guidelines prior to requesting a transfer. I will make exceptions if I am doing photo requests for you. You do not need to "manage" every memorial that is part of your family tree. Remember that this site is for locating burials, not building a tree. There are other websites that are more suitable for that purpose. I will be happy to make any links and corrections. PLEASE use the SAC feature ("Edit" tab). Please do not ask me to do links to any "Burial Unknown". Do your homework, first. FIND A GRAVE ADMINISTRATORS SUPPORT THIS POLICY. Please feel free to add photos where appropriate, as you do not need to manage the memorial to add photos.
Please be kind to Photo Volunteers! We are out there in all kinds of weather in a variety of conditions to find your friend's/relative's graves. We are not after a Pulitzer Prize and sometimes even our best effort may produce a not-so-good photo. If any of my photos are not to your liking, please leave me a message and I will try to get a better one. I will not be offended.
Since March 2013 I have taken over management of approximately 25,000 memorials in Inglewood Park Cemetery from Chris Mills. Please continue to send suggestions for corrections using the "Edit" tab and I will get to them as soon as I can.

I hope so, too. Kara and Stevie want to come along. I thought you'd enjoy seeing them again. It's been a long time. Talk to you soon.

Thank you so much for the pics of Ruth's grave. I think it's the right "Ruth" since the years indicated are reasonable. I am really trying to find her husband, Phillip McSweeney, but have not found him yet. Since he is not buried with her, I will have to keep up the search. They were my good neighbors when I was stationed/flew out of Naval Air Station Barbers Point, Hawaii in the early 1970's.

|postkrispykritters||Clara Weyant - thanks!|
Hi, B.J. - My siblings and I were always referred to as "Crispy Critters" or "Post Toasties" growing up, so thanks for the 60's commercial link...LOL! I really appreciate the time and energy you took fulfilling my photo request, she was a dear aunt of mine. Have a wonderful day!

I thought perhaps you might like a transfer of Mr. Duart???
Just let me know.
|Vanessa Price Harris||RE: Ella (Ellar?) Singleton|
Thank you and yes this is the correct Ella Garrett Singleton.
I have her from the 1880 through the 1940 census.
She was in the house with her parents in 1880 and the rest of the time she is with her husband Mathew and children.

Thank you for the quick reply. Next time you are in that cemetery, Inglewood, if you have time, please photograph those stones, or just write to me and tell me their names. No hurry. Thank you kindly. W.W.

|Chris Forest||RE: Annie Aud|
Thanks for the note. Yes to making sense about the last name. You are right about the research end of it.
Also including my name was a nice gesture.Thank you!
Many of the Harringtons in Pacific Crest are family members of my cousin. But not sure if Annie and her family are related to her or not. Just recently had quite a few Harringtons transfered to me. And I had some time today to research, so decided to see about connecting some dots for Annie and Edna.
Thanks for all that you do for Find A Grave. You make our work as genealogists so much easier!
|Wiatt||Picture of Henry James Ashton|
Hi. You had taken a picture for Henry James Ashton, Jul. 30, 1871 - Apr. 25, 1958,
Inglewood, Los Angeles County, Find-a-Grave Memorial# 46463482.
You added a second picture that looked like there were five gravestones in the same row and similar in design.
I was looking at other pictures that you had added - to figure out who those other stones belonged to. I could not.
Can you tell me who those other stones (in that group) belongs to?
Henry James Ashton would be a distant cousin.
