Bio and Links
Bio Photo Tombstone tourist, taphophile, cemetery enthusiast, genealogist, graver. I am a United States Army Female Veteran born in Germany to an English-German-Danish-Irish-Czechoslovakian-American father and German mother. Tenth great-granddaughter of George Soule, who arrived in this country aboard the Mayflower. I am researching the families of my fourth great-grandfathers, Henry George Lossing and Noah Jacob Huss.

Please stop by my mom's page, Ingrid Koss, to leave a flower, she loved the color purple. Mom is the only person listed on Findagrave with the last/maiden name of Bläwert.

Each generation of my family has had a member who served in the military. Having served in the military myself, I have a soft spot for all who did as well. Please leave a note for Captain Neil Stanley Bynum. I wore his MIA bracelet until it broke into pieces. If you manage a veteran's memorial page please remember to thank him/her.

CHECK YOUR EDITS TAB ON YOUR PROFILE PAGE! If you find any errors with the memorials I manage, please don't hesitate to send a SAC. Corrections left on my contributor page will not be acknowledged and will be deleted.

If YOU would like me to add an obituary, then YOU must edit the obituary and exclude the names of living family. Obituaries submitted with names of living individuals will be deleted. I will not post cut and paste obituaries from newspaper obits or funeral home websites without permission of the author. Obits added to the flower section will be reported to Admin for removal. I will ask you first to remove any death certificate you post to a memorial I create. If you will not remove the DC, I will have Admin do so.

There are a few individuals who appear to not want to be bothered with suggestions and being contacted about "their" memorials, but they don't hesitate in contacting you in regard to yours. If you are one of those few who wish to remain anonymous, then it is my wish that you stay anonymous by not contacting me.

"A funeral is not a day in one's life, but one's life remembered in a day." - David Dopp, Fitzgerald Funeral Service Director

"Matthew" Duesler #104967145
Sorry about the confusion -- but I think the cemetery used the wrong initial. If you look at son Frank's headstone - it says son of M.H. Duesler which is correct. I double checked my book that Charles Duesler compiled and published in 1989 and he used Matthew H. - also checked the 1880 and 1900 census today and the civil war record and they all have Matthew with Ann as his wife and children Lydia, Henry, George, Rhoda & Frank.

I think there is an error on his headstone showing W. H. instead of M. H. Is there a headstone for Mercy Ann next to W. H. If so, that's the one -- even though it shows W. H.

I did not realize there was a discrepancy or I would have checked with you.

It looks like "Matthew", Ann & Frank are all buried together in Sec. 2, Lot 135, Graves 1, 2, 3. Can you are someone else take a picture of the stone next to Frank?

Glenn Rudd memorial
Oh Dearest Red, I do not know why you are in such a snit about this, but you seem to have missed the point. My memorial is not and was not an error; it was an improvement. My only interest is that the memorial be as complete as possible. The original memorial by "anon" was quite incomplete. "Anon's" has been improved, which is good. If "Anon" can make his/her memorial equal to mine, legally, I will gladly delete my memorial as an unnecessary duplicate. At the moment it is not a duplicate. If the memorials are ever legally made equal, let me know. JHA

I agree with you wholeheartedly about guidelines. My primary one is "Don't post a memorial unless you have actually visited the cemetery and eyeballed the headstone." If there is no headstone, add a note explaining what the evidence is for claiming a burial in a particular cemetery. Clearly, the original "anonymous" memorial for Glenn Rudd was not based on an inspection of the headstone. Mine is. Anonymous did not respond with respect to the difference. Surely you will agree that a complete memorial is preferable to an incomplete one. You may condemn that as a duplicate, but I consider it an improvement. As to moving photographs from memorial to memorial, I suggest you consult the site guidelines about respecting photo copyrights, and not copying them without permission from the copyright holder. If "Anonymous" does not wish to defer to the better memorial, I must wonder why.

Got your message, I personally don't know where or what happened to Dorothy, but I have some people who might (and some cousins of yours).

Living People
Did you read my profile? I know how this place feels about living people. But every other grave location site posts pics of every stone in a cemetery - don't matter if people are living or not. Because if you put stones w/ info on them in a cemetery - it's now public info.

There's also all kinds of info about living people - including rich & famous living people - online now. And if Find A Grave knew it they'd rethink this silly rule.

So I'm posting the pics I take. If the living or their next of kin have a problem w/ it they can tell me...not some other Find A Grave volunteer. So how are you related to these people?
