I just post a picture of the burial book for Sec 5 S. I recently was allowed in to take pictures. Odds are not good that he had a stones, first we have walked the section looking, and secondly, he is not know by the cemetery to have a stone.

If the burial book is good enough, could you send us an email if you cancell the request?

The Bledsoe Family
Hi Karen

I am trying to find out what is your connection to the Bledsoe

brothers Anthony & Isaac and there familys in Tennessee. I see your

name is Thomas. My 3x great grand parents were Joseph T.Thomas and

his wife Mary, or as the censuses have her first name as Elizabeth,

and her maiden name is "Bledsoe". They were from Campbell County,

Tennessee. We have them in the 1850 census there. We think Joseph

Thomas was from 1795- about 1845, we do not see him in the 1850

census. Mary,Elizabeth Bledsoe(Thomas) 1806 - to about 1874, we thing

her death was in Otoe county, Nebraska. We know that her maiden name

was "Bledsoe from the 1888 biographical sketch Otoe County Nebraska.

In about 1858 all of this family move from Campbell to Otoe,Nebraska,

except for one son. There were seven children all born in Campbell

County,Tennessee, the first born in 1826. Mother Elizabeth on her 1850

census says she was born in North Carolina. We know that brothers

Anthony & Isaac Bledsoe also had live in North Carolina. So it could

have been around the early 1820's that Mr. Joseph Thomas and his wife

Mary,Elizabeth Bledsoe(Thomas) came from North Carolina. Anthony and

Isaac Bledsoe and familys came to Tennessee about 1783, and Anthony

died in 1788 and brother Isaac Bledsoe died in 1793. By the time

Anthony & Isaac and there familys move to Tennessee in 1783, Anthony

& Isaac would have been 48 and 50 years old, and there children were

all probably at adulthood by this time, and probably some of there

children did not come to Tennesse with them but stay in North

Carolina with there new familys. So i think that My 3x great grand

mother Mary,Elizabeth Bledsoe(Thomas) may be a daughter of one of

Anthony & Isaac's children that stay in North Carolina. All the lines

of Bledsoe's in America, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia are that

of George Bledsoe" the first to come to America in 1652 to Wicomico,

Northumberland, Virginia. He had a large Plantation there. born April 8 1632 and died Jan. 23 1705. Do you have an Tree i can see of the brothers and there family members, and up the tree. If you have any information on this matter email me at "" Thanks!!! Tony

RE: Thanks
I am thinking that they just did not have that much money. At Calvary, some lot of section 5 and 16 were poor. Section 10 is about 0.5% marked. they were really Poor. If they were singles in other sections, they had a little more money, but maybe not enough for a stone at the time. Hard to say.

We will will keep looking and hoping!

Hang in there.

You are welcome, and yes I was, it is a big lot, but I had an excellent landmark from the adjacent lot.
