Do you have any info on his 1st wife other than name and marriage date. I don't have a marriage place, any birth, death, or burial info for her, nor any children.

Thank you for the response. I have edited her middle name.

Karen - I'm curious as to your source for the information that her middle name was Belle..?? Is that from family records? The published record of burials in Brush Creek Cemetery lists only the initial B.

Karen, Thanks for the info on the Find A Grave pictures. I hadn't noticed the caption before, and appreciate the help. I can't believe you were able to trace the family line back so far. I can't imagine the amount of time and effort it took to accomplish!
When I started, I was particularly interested in my direct line, but Iíve really begun to get interested in all of the family and to see the different directions of the family. I was able to read a few newspaper and Red Cross memos regarding my grandfather, James Robert Thomas, during his time during WWI, but I would love to learn more about the entire family and their lives. My mother knew almost nothing of her family beyond her parents, and sheís loved hearing what Iíve learned.
I would really be interested in purchasing a copy of your book, if that is at all feasible. You indicated you had only made copies for your family, but if possible, I would gladly reimburse you for your time and costs.
If that canít be done, I would most appreciate learning more about the direct line from my grandfather and beyond. Any stories that youíve learned, or records showing the connection from each generation to the next would be most welcome. I just want to learn as much as I can of the family and be able to share it with my brother and sisters, along with my son.
Again, thank you for sharing the photos of my great grandparents, and for your time and effort tracing the history of the Thomas family.
With much appreciation, Dennis Thomas

Thank you so much for all your effort adding pictures and information to this site. I'm just getting started learning more about my family history and greatly appreciate all that you've done. My great grandfather is Marcus (Mark) Theodore Thomas. You added 2 photos to Find A Grave Memorial# 67442017. Are these pictures with both his first and second wife (Anna Louise Abell Thomas and Mary Louise Abell Thomas)? I can't tell if they're the same woman! Only 1 of the photos is shown in the memorial for Anna Louise and neither is shown for Mary Louise. The picture on Memorial# 67442144 for Anna Louise appears to be when he's the older of the 2 photos, but that could easily be just the quality of the photo. Also, where were you able to find the photos? Again, thank you for all your work and assistance, Dennis

My pleasure! glad to get it for you.
|Will||Ball Hill Cemetery|
I was hoping to communicate with you regarding Ball Hill Cemetery. I am an archaeologist working on a road project adjacent to this cemetery and I am trying to document this cemetery as best as possible. I have relocated all of the graves besides the ones that there are no photos for including Charles Blackwell, Chilton Harriet, Annie Cowen, Verna Howell, John Joyce Robert, and John Walter Lowe. Can you tell me where you got the information for these graves being in this cemetery? I am wandering if some of the headstones have been moved? Another question is Ball Hill vs Bald Hill cemetery. The road adjacent to the cemetery that connects to KY56 is Bald Hill Road and historic maps indicate the Bald Hill school near this location, however I also found some historical data such as a death certificate for John Walter Lowe that refers to him being buried at Ball Hill Cemetery in Union County. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Will.

What is the source of the picture you added for Alethaire Abell Spalding?

Karen, I saw the photos of Minnie Thomas on find a grave. I will always remember meeting her about a week before she died in 1966. I was on vacation in Kentucky with my grandfather Joseph C Vize son of John W Vize who was Minnies brother. My grandfather wanted to visit his aunt. I was 10 years old in 1966 but I still remember talking to her. Thanks for posting the photos. Edward Vize. Moline,IL
