Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired naval officer. I am addicted to genealogy. I love puttering around in cemeteries, even if I don't know any of the people there personally. I like to find and meet new cousins that I didn't know previously and share genealogical info with them. If you go back far enough, we are all cousins.

Families I am particularly interested in include:
Zellner, Coffey, Harrell, Welch, Hayes, Rucker, Hipsher/Hipshire, Lorenz, Slocum, and Adams.
I have a special interest in the genealogy of many of the families who settled in Grainger County, Tennessee. They intermarried early and often, and if you are kin to any of them, you are likely kin to all of them.
The Millers were Volga Germans who immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1875. I have lots of information on them and the other Volga German families they intermarried with. I am happy to share with anyone who is researching that area.

I am always happy to transfer to a relative, even a distant one (unless they are my relatives, too!). I don't mind managing all the records I have created, but I am more than happy to transfer them to someone else with a direct interest to manage.

Feel free to use any photo I have posted. I wouldn't have posted them, if I didn't want to share.

Good Hunting!

O B Addington & Clarence L Adams
I was looking at graves in Addington Cemetery. I grew up visiting there with my grandmother, Hazel L. Addington, Adams, daughter of Daisy Adams, Addington. The baby O B Addington was the son of Daisy & O B (Daddy Burrel) Addington. Clarence L. Adams was the son of Hazel L. Addington, Adams & Clarence L. Adams, my grandparents. Both those two graves should be inside of a retainer wall with Daisy Addington & Leon Addington who was also a son of Daisy Addington & O B Addington. My grandmother is probably turning in her grave right now that the information is linked to Leon's grave. That was a hush hush subject in the family, although we all found out a lot about it.

Cass Powers
Hi Rick...

Just curious, but would you be willing to transfer memorial management to me the memorial you have for Cass Powers (51091359)? This is my great-great uncle and I have been creating and linking the Powers side of my family, which would have been my maternal grandmother's side who also raised me since I was young.

Many thanks!

RE: Transfers
Rick, thank you I'll do that with the Suggestion Tab and please know that I have NO intension of hoarding entries. All transfer requests will be somewhere in my family chain. My sole motivation is to attract contact with any remote family member interested in sharing. I'm afraid that most of my family lines have come to that "throw away" stage and will be lost forever. I don't even have anyone interested to pass on all the years of research I've done. I thought if I died today, no one will know all this stuff I've done unless I find someway to get it on the internet, ie, Find A Grave.
Anyway, sorry to bend your ear Sir and I greatly appreciate all your help.

Take care and God Bless,
Chris Chandler

RE: Transfers
Thank you Sir I appreciate it. Because I run into your name so frequently, rather than nickel and dime you to death, I think I'll work on a running list as I go and send it. That should save you time. Good to hear from a fellow Vet who's also into genealogy.
Thank you for your help Sir,
Chris Chandler

William Howard Taft White
Rick, thank you for the updates on William Howard Taft White. He was my grandfather's brother (great uncle?). I'd gladly take a transfer if he's not a relative of yours. I read your bio and I have the same mindset as yours. I'm retired USAF so we have commonalities. Take care and see you around the site.
