I am a retired naval officer. I am addicted to genealogy. I love puttering around in cemeteries, even if I don't know any of the people there personally. I like to find and meet new cousins that I didn't know previously and share genealogical info with them. If you go back far enough, we are all cousins.|
Families I am particularly interested in include:
Zellner, Coffey, Harrell, Welch, Hayes, Rucker, Hipsher/Hipshire, Lorenz, Slocum, and Adams.
I have a special interest in the genealogy of many of the families who settled in Grainger County, Tennessee. They intermarried early and often, and if you are kin to any of them, you are likely kin to all of them.
The Millers were Volga Germans who immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1875. I have lots of information on them and the other Volga German families they intermarried with. I am happy to share with anyone who is researching that area.
I am always happy to transfer to a relative, even a distant one (unless they are my relatives, too!). I don't mind managing all the records I have created, but I am more than happy to transfer them to someone else with a direct interest to manage.
Feel free to use any photo I have posted. I wouldn't have posted them, if I didn't want to share.

Thank You so much for the very fast Transfers
I'm very interested in the Grainger Co Bunch also, Our Roach lines are related to or inter-married with almost everyone who ever lived there ...it seems
Our Roach,Galyon/Gallion,McDaniel & Owens came fairly early from NC, most were there by 1810-1820

|Tommy Wood||No pressure here|
Rick, I'm sorry to be submitting so many edits from Block Springs Cemetery. I just had an extra couple of days and went exploring there. I'm just submitting little additions/edits where I notice them. None of these folks are related to me, so there's no pressure to finish these edits any time soon. BTW, I like your new profile picture. Much better than sticking your finger in somebody's nose. Tommy Wood

I have been looking and looking for Emma's burial place, and that of her husband Tom. I know she died in 1984 but cannot find her. Can you help? Karen

Thank you for the photos you have posted of Dora and her husband. That confirms the identity of photos I have that were part of my grandparents household. My grandmother was Elizabeth Klaus Weber and her mother was Emma Giebelhaus Krieger Klaus.
