|Karen Cline||Joan Bosse Plummer and Henry W. Bosse|
My name is Karen Plummer Cline and my Mother is Joan Bosse Plummer. Her Father, my Grandfather is Henry W. Bosse. I would like to transfer management to my name. I would like to update my Mother's memorial. I have become manager of my Grandmother's (Henry's wife) memorial. Thank you!
|David Carnes||Elenore Bosse Bredenkamp|
My name is David Carnes. I am a genealogist. My maternal grandfather was Henry Bredenkamp. His brother was John Bredenkamp who married Elenore Bosse.
I was wondering if we could make some updates on Elenore and John's Find a Grave memorial page connecting them together?

RE: James Luther Mullis
at Find A Grave Memorial# 27504471
There is some information on this Memorial site that James Luther Mullis was a Veteran of WW1. I am not sure where this info came from, as I believe it is incorrect. Mr. Mullis was a member of the Winthrop Friends Meeting (Quaker). On his WWI draft registration it is noted that he objected to fighting in the war due to his sectarian religious belief. Being a Quaker and from Quaker Stock, he would most likely have been a conscientious objector. I am related to him, both on his maternal (Crater) side and his Mullis (paternal) side. I live on Crater Road very near the old Henry Mullis house. My mother knew Clay Mullis and the family. If these are your relatives then you are probably a distant cousin of mine.

My grandmother and your grandmother were sisters! My grandmother was Harriett Mildred Parlier Benfield. She passed away January 22, 1990. I thought you may want to know that all 3 of her sons have died in the past few years:
Richard Allen Benfield (born April 18, 1935)died in October, 2012 in Rocky Mount, NC. He was cremated. There is no headstone.
Jack Monroe Benfield (my father)(born Jan 8,1937) died Nov.8, 2010 in Raleigh, NC. He is buried in Montlawn Memorial Cemetary in Raleigh.
Douglas Randolph Benfield (born Jan 30,1947) died on March 9, 2012. He was cremated. I do not know if there is a headstone or not.
Thank you for doing all of this research. If I can be of any assistance in filling in some blanks for you, let me know. My dad did some significant research on his ancestry and we still have all of his notes.
On a personal note, I am married (2nd time) and living in Carolina Beach, NC. I have 3 adult children, all in NC, and one grandson. One of my sons, and my grandson, are named after my daddy so his legacy continues. My mother still lives in Garner, NC and my sister Susan lives in Holly Springs, NC. She has 2 children.

I am glad to know we are related. My family also thinks I am nuts with my history. It has
helped me through a lot. I am in a wheel chair a lot so the history helps pass the time. I have spinal stenosis and more than 100 bone spurs on my spine along with 4 herniated disc in my lower back & 3 in my neck. Cannot lay flat so I sleep in a recliner.
I will appreciate any help with any info.
Have a great day,
