Kelly this is my family
James N Markedes Find A Grave Memorial# 54515897
Its his wife Pauline that is relavant in being buried in Monroe county.
James was born in Greece and he came to the usa as a stowaway on a boat as a young boy.
He had no family in the USA, The Greek Orthodox community cared for him. James owned a resteraunt in St Louis called Jimmy's. This is a link to his cenus record in st louis showing he was Greek. http://www.myrelatives.com/genealogy-directory/census_1930Census/63300783/James%20Markedes
James Markedes wife Pauline was German. Her maiden name was Mackee. She is the reason they are buried in Monroe County. Pauline first husband was James Druse. She went by her middle name Lottie. Her son was Charles Druse my grandfather. If you scroll down below you will see on the census his parents are James and Lottie Druse ( Pauline)
Born: ~1909 in Illinois
11 years old in the 1920 U.S. Census
East St Louis Ward 8, St. Clair County, Illinois
Relationship to Head: Son
Parents: James A. Druse and Lottie Druse
My GrandFather Charles Druse the son of James and Pauline was the chief of Police in Fairmont city Illinois. His picture is located at this Fairmont city facebook page.
James Druse , who was Pauline's first husband was the son of Ralph Druse and Illinois Ditch.
Born: ~1852 in Illinois
48 years old in the 1900 U.S. Census
New Design Precinct, Monroe County, Illinois
Relationship to Head: Self
Spouse: Illinois Druse
Ralph Druse wife Illinois Ditch was the daughter of David Ditch who helped build the Cairo, and donated land for the first school district. I think this is all in a monroe county atlas. Illinois was a daughter of the sister of Thomas Ford who was Govenor of Illinois and her other brother attorney general. She was born in Bucks county Penn.
Ralph Druse Father was Harrison Druse I think he was a judge who moved to Illinois from Ohio with his wife Agnes cockshot. Agnes was born in Kildswick Yorkshire England.
third paragraph on this link you will see Ralph listed as a child of Harrison and his wife Cockshot http://monroe.illinoisgenweb.org/portraits/druse_harrison.html
|Doug Stiverson||Management Transfers|
Hello Kelly, I'm requesting that you transfer management of the following ancestor memorials so I may more easily complete their bios and connect them with other family members. They are: Jesse Wiswell (my 4G grandfather) #54575931, Sarah Miller Wiswell (my 4G grandmother) #54575935, Emily Horine Wiswell #54575914, Mary Catherine Wiswell Slate #54564751 and Emery Peter Slate #54564742. |jim eydmann||John O Eidmann|
I think I am the one who gave the father of John O. Eidmann as a Taylor. It should have been Belshazar Eidmann 100057309 also buried in Monroe County, Illinois. I submitted his father again today but do not know how they handle it when he already has a father? Nobody has two fathers!
I live near the cemetery (25 miles) and have been doing research on the family visiting the area many times.
Thank you so much for the transfers of the Copp family members. I really appreciate it. I'll take good care of them.

I think probably the weather has been bad in your area, I understand. I am anxious to get further information. Also, how is it that the name is slightly different though all else is the same. My guess is that the burial details are most accurate. Do you know how I can get a copy of the death certificate.? Anyway, please don't forget about me.
I know you aim to help me out. I am just on pins and needles to find out info on my gr gr grandfather.I want to trace back to Germany, too. Thanks so much - John Oestreich
ps- I know it takes time I'm patient.

|Nancy (Lutz) Heath||Twins: Henry Carl Lutz|
One twin buried in Waterloo City Cemetery, grave #20, 27 Jan 1873.
Our ancestor evidently had a twin brother who was born 9 July 1872 in Waterloo and died 26 Jan 1873. He was named Heinrich Carl Lutz, son of John Lutz & Margaretha, nee Hettinger. He was Born 9 July 1872 - Died 26 Jan 1873 and Buried 27 Jan 1873, grave #20, Waterloo City Cemetery. He only lived about 6 months.
Perhaps he was not a well baby and the parents did not expect him to survive and, therefore, they may have decided to give the same name to both sons.
Our ancestor, Henry (Heinrich) Carl Lutz was also born 9 July 1872. He died 28 Aug 1933. Our Henry (Heinrich) Carl Lutz is Buried Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, St. Louis Lot 158 Sec. C, Grave RL
Undertaker: Kingshighway Memorial
Henry died 28 Aug 1933 at the age of 61, 1 month, 19 days of myocarditis.
Place of death: At home, 4923 Maffitt Place, St. Louis
