I have been working on genealogy for 30 years and have been taking pictures for 60. Taking pictures as I walk though cemeteries is a natural extension. We are retired and do a lot of traveling. When possible I pick small local cemeteries to photo inventory. I only hope my efforts are a help to someone.|

Sorry, I am not related. Not as far as I know, anyway. I don't remember how I found his memorial. But, when I do find one, I try to always leave a token.

I'm currently doing a Genealogical Chart for a good friend of mine. In the course of doing that, I came across the marriage of Almira Floreillian "Flora" CARTER's marriage to Isom GOODWIN on 31 Jan 1888 in Clinton County.
I am researching the CARTER side of this family so if you wish any further information, don't hesitate to contact me.

My pleasure, we went to find my grandparents and I remembered some requests I printed out. Found 6 out of 8. That is one HILLY cemetery!

Just wanted to say Thanks for your efforts for your work & willingness to share with Find-A-Grave.
This is a great resource for us that have the genealogy bug.

I have the same issue as Amanda. I sent you an edit to add parents to Lillie Belle (Gee) Coen a couple of weeks ago but there has been no action on my edit.
I echo Amanda's curiosity about the new Find A Grave edit process. I had to be referred to it also since there was no announcement from Find A Grave. Are you familiar with it?
If not, click on the Edit tab on your contributor's profile page to review the edits that have been submitted for memorials you have posted. You can then Accept, Decline, or leave them to review later.
I sent you a few edits, I like the new way they are doing edits but as a member it annoys me they don't send out a e-mail notice letting you know people have requested edits so it sits there till you notice the edit area is highlighted when you sign in... When it first came out it was over a month before I noticed the option and sure enough someone had a requested a edit that way. I would have processed it right away but had no clue.. Still annoys me that they don't send a e-mail warning me someone has requested a edit on one of my memorials so I can only assume that when I request edits on other memorials other members also don't get e-mail notification. So I figured I would give you a heads up to check your edit area in your profile because I sent you few edits recently...
Thanks for all you do,
Stone on grave is the wrong one for Della. Thanks, Kay

Thanks so much!

Thanks for getting back to me. I've had tons of fun researching John Cook, I've actually been able to contact some of his descendants and send them copies of the tintype I posted on Find A Grave. I am creating a profile about him on my Flickr site with Biographical and Genealogical information, and I was wondering if you'd allow me to use the photos of his Headstone? I would of course give you credit.

Is this man an Ancestor of yours? I collect Civil War Photos and the latest photo I've purchased is a tintype of John Cook, while he was still in Pennsylvania Serving with Co F of the 99th PA Volunteer Infantry. I posted a copy of this on his memorial and wanted to make sure you saw it.
If you wish to have a high resolution copy of this please let me know.
