I enjoy going to the cemeteries and visiting our history. Some folks think I am nuts but only when I am not doing genealogy or walking around in the graveyards. I think that cemeteries should be on historical registers and kept up. I hope to do my part to keep the history alive and maintained.|
EVERGREEN CEMETERY, Leominster, Worcester, MA - Please Note: NO EDITS WILL BE PROCESSED WITHOUT COMPLETE RESOURCES WHICH I CAN VERIFY. I have submitted 1,000's of names to this cemetery and I am in the process of cleaning up and adding additional information. My goal is to include the plot #s, life and death info and link to other family members, for all those buried here. I would like to ask that you do not ask for transfers and please do not duplicate my entries if I don't transfer a memorial to you. If you have additional information to add or please use the Edit tab and then the Suggest a correction or provide additional information link. If you find a duplicate that I have made, please let me know so that I can request my info be added to the original memorial. In addition, I would greatly appreciate your assistance with adding my information when I make a suggestion.

Not sure what happened with that last word. I corrected it. I suppose there is a question as to if this is the correct David May but I feel pretty strongly that it is. The different name for his father on the documents could suggest that this is the wrong person but as you probably know such things are not uncommon in genealogy research. Perhaps the father went by hus middle name at times. Would you like me to remove the photo?
|JennH||RE: Family of Alvin and Laura E. Seaver Colburn|
Hi Patricia - I'll try to scan all the pages and send them to you at your e-mail address as soon as I can. The earliest first record is for John Colburn dob 8/3/1738 and Anna Darby dob 10/17/1741. They were married on October 7, 1770.
Alvin Colburn is the grand son of John and Anna Coburn. Alvin's dob is 4/21/1820. He and Laura Elizabeth Seaver (she is from Northborough MA) were married September 1, 1847. I was going to upload the scanned pages as a photo to this site but ugh....can't figure that one out, yet. Jenn

Just found an old family bible in my collection "The Holy Bible" by Hervey Wilbur, A.M. 1837 and inside found handwritten Family Records of Laura E. Seaver Born July 16, 1822 and other Colburns. It appears this is the grave listing you've updated here. I will try to upload a scanned copy of one of the pages. Other pages contain many listings of this family.

I just discovered the birth record for Susie and Phillip's daughter Madeline Brady born 10 Aug 1900 in Leominster - so Susie actually died in childbirth. Very sad!
