I live in northwest Iowa and am a retired journalism/English teacher. My husband and I enjoy walking cemeteries and finding gravestones, wondering about the life of the person buried there. We are glad to help others learn about their family history.|
Genealogy fits my personality... combining a love of research, computer, writing, photography, and family.
I have enjoyed meeting other individuals and chatting about their pursuit of their ancestors' information. Although one can never truly "finish" researching a family line, I set a deadline of July each summer to "finish" one family line and enter it in the local county fair. I have won Best of Show the past seven years and in doing so, have been able to reach out to others and help them learn how to start searching for their own ancestors.

Ann, thank you for finding my Uncle and placing his burial site & obituary here. Harold (he went by his middle name) grew up with many struggles, being left partially disabled after getting tangled with an electrical wire while climbing out of the upper floor of the house when he was about 3. My Mother said he was always getting into something. I am happy to say that he found the Lord and a beautiful companion in his wife, Josie. She misses him dearly.
Thanks again, it's nice to be remembered.

I would like very much to see the articles you refer to and to place them her memorial. Iran across the mention of the prison closing and read about some of the stories, figured they were worth including, especially hers.
Thanks aforehand, Harvey

Ann, I am researching for Kay Richter. You created Find A Grave memorial for Elizabeth Dulin Renner, B - 12 Oct 1824 and D - 12 Jun 1916. The photo you added for Elizabeth taken abt 1913 is the most striking photo I've seen in all my years of genealogy. Do you have more info about her life? Or someone else I could contact? What a story she could probably tell. Thank you Sue Caldwell

Thank you for this photo. Even with no gravestone there, it is still good to document this information and it is quite helpful to my research of the Bugbee family. I really appreciate your time and effort. - Allison
