I'm a native of Utah now living in Raleigh, NC. I'm a genealogist and all around history buff. |
Please let me know if you find errors in my memorials so that I may correct them. Also please feel free to use any photo's I post as long as it's not for profit(if photo's are used "courtesy" of someone, please note that if you repost them).
I am working on uploading the Price City Cemetery database (Price, UT is my hometown). My goal is to eventually research each burial, post obituary's and link to family members where possible. Besides all my family members this cemetery is the resting place for many friends, and people I knew or knew of, and so is very special to me. As of 7/14/12 THE DATABASE IS COMPLETELY ENTERED FOR BURIALS PRIOR TO AUGUST 2010. Please be careful posting a new memorial in Price City Cemetery with a death date prior to August 2010, as it will likely be a duplication. Sometimes the burial is recorded under a different married name, or a different spelling. There are instances of burials NOT being recorded in the cemetery records (likely one of the "unknowns" listed in the database), however, those are the exception. Only a portion of those I've entered have been researched and completed, but I'm working on it :)
I'm also a contributing Editor for the "Greeks in the West" tree on Ancestry.com. We are attempting to document the Greek immigrants who came to the Western states for the Western Hellenic Family History Library at The Magna Ethnic Mining Museum
If I have posted a memorial for your loved one, please let me know so that I can transfer them to you if they are not a relation of mine. However, due to numerous problems with transfer requests, I have had to adopt the practise of only transfering per Find a Grave's "direct 4 generation rule". I am happy to transfer your immediate family (spouse, children, grandchild, parents, siblings, or grandparents). I will no longer transfer outside of these relationships. Please use the "edit" function on the memorial you are requesting; state your relationship; and include your contributor #.
I am always happy to add or correct information, add links or update information.

Oh wow! That is quite exciting! I would love anything you have to share! I don't know many people on the Cowley side. I don't have many pictures of Mattie's father or mother. So, yes, please share! I have a few things too I'll gather together and share with you as well.

wow, that is amazing. Baby newell passed away in Moab. he is burred on top of grandpa Jorgensen. there is also a sister hazel Henderson who was henry's twin sister. she was married to frank. ada Jorgensen was married to chris. there is also an un-named baby that was buried on top of grandpa Jorgensen. henry's dad. the baby is not a relative, we have asked that the baby not be disturbed.
thank you again for all you have done and are doing.
this is my first visit. a wonderful friend told me about your site.
I was told I could ask you to please link some names together as family.
henry giles Jorgensen and newell Jorgensen is father son. I know that grandpa Jorgensen who is buried under newell is Henry's dad, fred Jorgensen and chris Jorgensen are brothers of henry's.
I am not sure if you can do that.
thank you sooooo very much for everything you have done. it and you are amazing.

Thanks for transferring both of these to me!
|Norman R. Brown||RE: Hazel Leula Fancher Van Derwerken|
It's a done deal, Lucia.
Thanks, in advance, for transferring Hazel's Memorial to me.
|Norman R. Brown||Hazel Leula Fancher Van Derwerken|
Hazel is my first cousin, once removed; so I am not a direct relative of hers.
Would you please be so kind as to update your Memorial with the information I have in mine so that I may then delete my duplicate Memorial?
Thanks so much.
|CNM||RE: Martin Luther Marsing|
Thanks for all you are doing. Regarding Carlos Marsing - he was my grandfather. Grandpa Carlos' father was Nicolai Bertram Nicolaisen aka Batrum Marsing and his mother was Bothilda Nilsson aka Matilda Nielsen. Carlos' mother, Matilda Nielsen died shortly after Carlos was born so his father, Batrum Marsing arranged to have Martin Luther Marsing and his wife, Lucy Fidelia Powell Marsing raise his children - Carlos Marsing and Carlos' sister, Emma Caroline Marsing Remund. Martin Luther Marsing was Batrum Marsing's half-brother. They had the same mother - Hansine Christina Schmidt Nicolaisen; but different fathers. When Batrum's mother married Niels Larson Marsing, Batrum assumed the Marsing last name. So, Carlos Marsing should be linked to his birth mother and father rather than his aunt and uncle. Hopefully, you can follow all of this - it has been confusing to the family for many years.

You're welcome. If you have any need for further information on the Marsing/Powell families, I have probably the most complete archive.
Thanks for posting what you have done.
