|NYGraver||RE: find a grave corrections|
I do not understand your response. I do not consider 26 a "VERY FEW", this was about half the ones that were sent. Although I can no longer see the information I requested to add, the information was accurate, and in many cases you had the obituary already posted that would verify what I was sending you. I double-checked the information before I sent it, and it was accurate information that should have been added to the memorials. I don't understand the reasoning to cancel it out and make "No Change" because you can't verify it. I think many of the changes could have been "verified" by just looking at the memorial, and the photos attached to it.

I was looking through the edits I have sent that have been done. Of the ones sent to you, about half of them were changed to "no change" with no indication of what was sent to you to correct. Is there a reason why you decided there was nothing to change? I also do not understand how you can remove the information I originally sent to you. There is now no way to verfiy what the correction was. Before sending anyone corrections, I make sure I have more information which will add to the memorial. I have also noticed on at least one edit, I sent a full date of birth on Edward Schallenberg. It was accepted by you and the full date was added, since then the date was taken off and put on as just a year. On his, the date in question is already in his obituary that you added. It was not entered in the date of birth field. I did check my information, and I had the same date of birth, so I requested it be put on. This is very upsetting to try to update family and friends memorials on here and have someone just undo all my input. It was my understanding that this site was a co-operative effort. Apparently I was wrong.

|debkd||Re your note,|
Dear Bea, I'm pleased that I found Lawrence Kirk's obit for you. I was interested in it because I had his daughter, Alice Kirk in my elementary school in Edmeston.
I haven't figured out how to use Fulton yet. I've slowly been working my way through several years of The Daily Star obituary archives online.
I add obits from the Butternut Valley to my blog so they are sorta all in one spot to for anyone to check.
In case you would like to check it out:
The surname list of all that I have posted is reposted the first of each month.
