Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am an amateur genealogist and photographer. Visiting cemeteries and respecting grave sites was something my paternal grandmother taught me when I was a young girl. Sundays after church were visiting days. We would pick zinnias grown by the side of the house and visit relatives' grave sites.

My photographs of grave stones really belong to the families of those memorialized; they are here to share. You are welcome to use for your own family trees.

EDITS....please know that I frequently will ask for documentation to support an edit sent to me if I cannot verify myself. Nothing personal. As a memorial manager, it is my responsibility to make sure that the information posted is correct. Unfortunately, there have been several edits sent to me as of late that were not. It happens. That is why I double check. Sometimes it just takes more than one person to get things right!

A GENTLE REMINDER....please DO NOT SCAN obituaries and post in photo section. Per Find A Grave guidelines, they need, instead, to be typed and submitted as an addition to the bio section with the names of the living removed. Thank you.

RE: Permelia Andrews
She was also known as Maude. I wonder if I came out there whether I could find out when she died and if she was with anyone.

RE: Jerry T. Alger
Sure, that would be great. Isabel Egar is my mom's sister--that entire columbarium is ours. I am on there myself and all my brothers and sisters and spouses.

RE: Jerry T. Alger
He is my father.
born as Austin Jerome Alger and called "Jerry"
Confirmation name chosen was "Thomas"
From the time he left high school, he used "Jerry T." as his signature and even in our neighborhood growing up, the neighbors always called him "Jerry T"
In cases when he is supposed to write in his FULL name, he always fudges it by putting Jerome Thomas and when he passed, we entered Jerome Thomas as well, because he never liked the name Austin. He even bristled when we suggested it as a name for grandkids.
Austin is linked to his birth father, and there is a rocky story there.
So, we honored him with Jerome Thomas. But with genealogy researchers using find a grave, I think he will have to deal with it and have his birth name on the grave record as well.
If he doesn't like it, he will haunt me and I will ask to change it back :)
Hey, his godfather was his dad's best friend Austin Mack the musician, so it's pretty cool anyway....

RE: Baby Metz
I've never been to Indiana, but in the course of tracing out my Tharp family line and the connections with the Teegardin family lines, I feel a lot closer.

Having the cemeteries photographed certainly makes it a lot easier to document and verify grave locations and name spellings.

I do appreciate all the work you and others have performed in that regard.

RE: Frederick LeRoy Coe
Thank you for the feedback. I have seen the Michigan marriage record. I dismissed it because it lists his father as C.P. Cole and his mother as Mary Tice. Census records list his father as born VT (Hollis Coe) and his mother as born OH. I suppose it's possible that he could have been adopted.

Thank You,
CRC

RE: Frederick LeRoy Coe
Thank you for the note. I cannot say for sure and there is a conflict with Frederick Leroy Coe's birth date (born Sept. 18, 1880) and that of his brother Clyde M. Coe (born July 30, 1880). If the birth dates are correct, it would seem that Clyde and Frederick must have had different mothers. Who does the other person suggest could be Frederick's mother?

Thank You,
CRC
