Bio and Links
In July and August 2008 I took photos of all headstones in Idlewilde Cemetery Blocks 1 through 12, and part of Block A. I've added names from Blocks 1-12, Block A-G, and the Mausoleums (using cemetery records) to Findagrave, and have added all my available photos. I've added birth and death places along with family links. Mausoleum photos are still needed. The new section of the cemetery also needs to be added.

I would be glad to add any links or bios, and am happy to transfer management of memorials to relatives.

I am also on the New Sweden Cemetery Maintenance District Board of Directors, and am trying to update entries for the New Sweden Cemetery.

Walter and Jetta Lybarger
Thanks for the additional information on the Lybargers. I am not a relative, I had walked a cemetery in Missouri to take photos. If there wasn't a memorial for the photo, I created a memorial. That is how I came to create the Brokaws, Jetta's parents. When trying to find out more about the Brokaws, I found their daughter, Jetta. Sending an edit to link her to be linked to her parents, the memorials were transferred to me.

Albert Lane
Sorry for the confusion. Albert is the son of John N. Lane and his first wife Martha. James #26973723, Martha #30805298. After Martha's death, James married Eliza Burnett, #26973728. Let me know if this makes sense.

Headstone Photo
Hi Jeffrey,

May I use the headstone photo you submitted at Idlewilde Cemetery for Charles and Cleopatra Bales on my family tree with Ancestry..? Your name will be added to the photo if you do let me use it.

Thank you,

Cortez Handy
He is an grand uncle. His parents are my great grand parents. A relative of mine sent in some edit updates on Cortez and I said to stop. This family is exceptionally difficult to research - why give it away unless we get credit for the very hard work and expense it is taking us to find that information.

No to a memorial transfer of Cortez Handy memorial.

When a person is the 2nd person on a memorial ...they will be taken advantage of.

After the 2nd person memorial transferee finishes the difficult task of completing the memorial of full DOB/DOB, link families, etc...someone within 4 generations comes alone and takes the memorial. They contributed nothing but only 2 names stay on the memorials ;;;the original memorial creator and the 3rd transferred person. The 2nd guy who did all the work...his/her name disappears.

Are you related to this Handy memorial? If so do you know anything about his parents? If not related, PLEASE transfer his memorial to someone who is actively researching the family so relatives can correspond back and forth through the memorial.

RE: Edits
You're very welcome Jeff. Thanks for replying. There is some info. about the new "Edits" in the FAQs and on the forums. If you scroll through my messages, Connie A. has supplied a link to section in FAQs that talks about it and also Bill and Elaine Schrock have a link on their page. I'll post some sort of results of this on my page in 2 or 3 days. Hope you have a nice weekend. Take care.
