My husband and I enjoy finding monuments for other people and am extremely grateful to the volunteers who have found my own people for me. We've been working on finding the little pioneer cemeteries in the area and putting their inhabitants online. Four of our memorial pages even helped to catch a gravestone thief. Cemeteries are extremely vulnerable to vandalism, theft, and the damage of time and weather. We appreciate all of the volunteers out there who are working so hard to document them before they are lost to history. |

I'm not a numbers addict or collector, but I adhere to Findagrave policy:
◊Find A Grave's primary purpose is a graves registration website.
◊Find A Grave's secondary purpose is a memorialization/remembrance site.
◊Find A Grave's tertiary purpose is a genealogical resource.
Transfers are only made within the guidelines set up by Find A Grave. These guidelines are in place for a reason - whether one cares to accept them or not. I am not going to debate what the owner has deemed acceptable for his site with members who choose not to agree with the guidelines. "The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it." I am willing to consider transferring ownership to you if you have a close family member among my records. I rarely transfer relationships more distant than first cousin... just having someone "in my family tree" or "a relative" will not elicit a transfer.
If you want information added to a memorial, go to the memorial and use the "Edit" tab to send me the information-- including family links. I will add information to the memorial, I do not transfer just because someone wants to add links or other information. Bottom line: what are you planning on doing with the entry that I haven't already done or am unable to do?
On the other hand, if you upload family photos or in some other way add value to the memorial, I am much more willing to transfer. I will always transfer a memorial if you sponsor it.
I welcome all corrections to my own work. Some records were imported using OCR so have inevitable errors, both from the original records and from machine interpretation. I am only human and make mistakes, too, but will always make it priority to correct them.

|Grave Recorder||Charles Snorek - Bohemian in Chicago|
Hi, I just wanted to let you know that you can remove your flower from his memorial that stated that another contributor told you to call the office for the grave location. I have found the headstone and posted it on his and his wife's memorials. Your photo request is now fulfilled.
|Wayne U||Grandparents not Parents|
You have a memorial for T/Sgt William E. Neigh # 31523015 with his parents as George P. Neigh # 31523011 and Annie Neigh # 31523010. They are actually his grandparents. They raised him because his dad spent time in jail when William was young. Plus his dad is George P. Neigh Jr. Since both of William's parent obituaries fail to mention where they are buried I don't know where they are yet. When I figure it out I will let you know. Mom may be in Easton Heights and dad in Easton.

|William Davis SATX||Daniel Eldred?|
Hi. I'm looking for information on my Great, Grand Aunt named Lulu Eldred born Sept. 1, 1749 and died May 20, 1820. Father was John Eldred. I found in the Eldred centery Daniel Eldred with the same birth/death dates and father. So, is this my Aunt or my Uncle? I am a middle school teacher in San Antonio, Texas and I'm trying to research my family. Thanks.

Are you a relation or have you spoken to any relations of Ms. Walker? I'm looking for some information. Thanks!

I made some additions to Ivan's memorial. He is my father in law, and I added his location of birth and death. I believe you need to approve the changes to the page. If I am incorrect about you approving the changes, then I apologize in advance.
|Carol ||James Joseph N., Hines|
I do not believe this JJN Hines is the son of Joseph F. Hines of Harrison Co. Ohio. He did have a son named Joseph Nelson Hines, 1829-1884, but he died in MO and was married to a Prudence. He had another son James McMahon Hines, 1821-1886, and he died in Michigan and was married to a Mary Matilda.
Feel free to contact me at .
