|Let me start by saying that I do VERY MUCH appreciate anyone who has taken their time to enter memorials in this wonderful system. Without your contribution this system would not be as wonderful as it is today. If you are one of the great photographers that waits for the perfect light and gets down on their knees to take that close up shot I applaud you and than you for your hard work!|
Something I have learned poking around here for a while now. It is pointless to enter thousands and thousands of memorials if you are not going to respond to update requests so the data you have entered is accurate. There is no badge of honor for keying in pages of cemetery books only to ignore correction and linkage requests for the individuals you have entered. If you are going to support this project please respond to the update requests quickly or transfer the memorial to the requestor so that they can make the updates. They obviously have been doing some research for a reason. Please don't be a roadblock here.
I normally post SAC update requests sent to me in 2 weeks. If the memorial has not been updated in that time send me another SAC request please because it is a good indication I probably missed or did not get your first request.
Another thing I have learned is it helps to park your emotions and hot buttons at the door. We are all here to support this project and help it grow and develop. Sometimes it is easy to loose sight of that common goal. If you are easily offended by a simple request or find that you begin to take feedback too personally try to remember this is a community and not just your own playground. For this place to work we all have to work together and that requires some tolerance from everyone involved.
I have been working my family tree for more than 30 years. Lost all my computer data and working to rebuild my files. Family names of PERSONS, BADER, COX, NEIMAN, SUTTON, EMERY, AUMBERIC, GUTTING, RAU, VanWORMER, and others.
Son of the American Revolution.
Photographer, Geocacher, and Waymarker.
Remember to back up your data! and ALWAYS have FUN!

In case you didn't see, when photographing Amos Persons I added memorials for Mary E. Pearsons, John L. Pearsons and Abigail Persons at Plainfield Village Cemetery. Let me know if you want any transferred to you.

I just fulfilled your request for a photo for A. Persons in Plainfield VT. I noticed that the stone says Pearsons not Persons. I submitted an edit to change first name to Amos, but wasn't sure about the last name. Maybe the stone is correct and maybe it isn't.
Jessie Smith and Emma Persons are both in the single grave, but the headstone only lists Emma. Contact cemetery if wish to rectify.

This gentleman, who is a family member should not have had a memorial as he was still living. Anyway, I requested that the other person that had posted the memorial as well as a photo remove the photo to allow one with complete information to be posted. I would appreciate it if you would do the same. If you are in that area, you could get another photo when the info is added. John died on June 16, 2014 in Rocky Ford and will be buried on Friday June 20. Thank you so much for your help.

Thanks for adding his links and additional information!
Looks like there is a duplicate memorial for Henry James in Willow Glen Cemetery. FYI

Hi, While updating the Maple Hill cemetery in Cadillac, I found Josie Pangborn buried here too. Her husband Charles is in the same row as she although they are not side by side. There is one for Charles (as someone took the photo already). I see you show a stone for her in this cemetery too. So not sure which location she is actually buried in, or even if there is a stone located in Maple Hill or not. I have entered her in, so if you put in a photo request, then someone should be able to get the answer. Thank you. Terry
Hi Mark - Check out Mary Costello's headstone in the Merrill cemetery. Saw this when I was looking for photo requests and recognized the last name. Could this be Anna's mother? Sheryl
