Bio and Links
An ameteur genealogist (inheriting all deceased family members' work), an archivist and a family historian, I am descended from Daniel Boone, Thomas Farmer, Isaiah Washburn, SR, Elisha Moore of KY and MO, Edmund Rutter, SR of KY and MO, Henry Walz of Germany and Charles Chaussee originally of Montreal, Canada.

My sons are descended from James Wickens of England, James Corke of England, William Elder Summerville and those are the lines I am pursuing at Find A Grave.

My other entries are from various pages photocopied at libraries as I travel north and south hunting obituaries, burials and other info on both direct and collateral lines in the family.

Thank you for updates
Thank you so much for making the updates that I have sent you recently. It is greatly appreciated. It gets frustrating when people never respond. It is apparent that you truly care about helping people with their genealogy research.
Best Regards
Rod Anderson

RE: William Cook
Thank you for posting the obituary. It helped to fill in some gaps. The obit has 22 May as DOB instead of 21 May. I don't know if you had other information to post it as the 21st, so I didn't change it.

Could you please transfer Kays page to me as she is my grandmother and I would love to keep the family together. Kay (Catherine Brown Giles) was married to my Grandfather, George Washington Giles Sr., they are in Choatesville Cem.

Thank you for all you do for Find a Grave, it is certainly a wonderful memorial for all our deceased.

RE: Prudence Summerville Cookinham
You're welcome. Thank you for taking photos of the headstones at Silver Lake Cemetery. I've been using them in my family tree on I haven't been to Silver Lake Cemetery in over 40 years, and I was surprised to see how the markers have fallen into disrepair. Both my grandmother Prudence Cookinham and great-grandmother Elizabeth Summerville were on the cemetery committee back in the day. One of their objectives was to keep the cemetery neat and in good repair. It seems no one is doing that any more. Also, I've added some photos I have of Charles Henry, Prudence, and the four girls -- Helen, Harriet, Leah and Gertrude -- to their respective memorials.

Prudence Summerville Cookinham
Carolyn, your information for location of death for Prudence Summerville Cookinham is incorrect. At the time of her death, she was residing at Riverside Manor Nursing Home in Ames, Iowa. Prudence is my grandmother and she did live with her step-daughter Leah Cookinham Forster (my mother) and family in Gurnee, Illinois from 1951 to 1967. In the fall of 1967, she went to live in Ames, Iowa with her daughter, Gertrude Cookinham Smith. It was determined that Prudence needed more specialized care and that's when she became a resident of Riverside Manor (early 1968 as I remember). She was there about 2 years before her death on 03 Dec 1969; we buried her at Silver Lake Cemetery in Ayrshire, Iowa on 06 Dec 1969 (in one of the worst blizzards I've ever seen). Thanks in advance for making this change on Nanny's memorial. She helped raise me from a baby to a teenager, and I miss her every day.

I like what you did with Lillian's memorial, I think that anybody researching her will be able to understand it.
Thank you so much for the work you did on her!!
