I am more than happy to make corrections to any of the memorials I have entered; however, I would really appreciate your giving me a way to communicate with you if you have messages blocked and no email address on your profile. I try to let you know when I have completed the correction or if I have a question.

I try my best to do a thorough check before entering any memorials. I will never intentionally create a duplicate, although sometimes it just happens with the delay in the Find-a-Grave system at times. Even if my memorial was entered first, I will usually delete if the other memorial is complete. My interest is not in numbers but in the precious souls who walked among us on this earth. However, I would appreciate your using "the Golden Rule" when asking me to delete a memorial. Most people already do and don't have to be reminded. Just want you to know that I will never intentionally be rude to anyone. God bless!

I have lived in Sweetwater, Texas all but four years of my life.

A geneology nut, I love to help people find their family information through this volunteer work.

I am the Find-A-Grave coordinator for the Nolan County Cemeteries. The Sweetwater Cemetery is my favorite (my daughter, father & grandparents are buried there). Outlying Nolan County cemetery photos can be made as time and travel permits.

I have strong family ties to the following cemeteries:

* Sweetwater (Nolan County, TX)
* Old Bethel (Anderson County, TX)
* Frankston City (Anderson County, TX)
* Roby (Fisher County, TX)
* Rose Hill (Taylor County, TX)

I'll be happy to make corrections on any of my entries if needed, or I will gladly transfer memorials to family members (at my discretion when it involves my kinfolks).

My families are (to name a few):

HEALER
Cardwell - Hammond - Turner - Elam - Fry - Douglass

COOK
Hughes - Thomas - Beard - Willingham - Folmar

DAVIS
Free - Wyly - Bates - Stewart - Powell

Always interested in hearing from anyone with any connections to my families.

THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
By Thelma Greene Reagan

Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

Campbell Cemetery
Hi,
I apologize for this being so long. I have a bit of a mystery on my hands and I'm hoping that you can point me in the right direction. My gg grandparents and one gg uncle are buried somewhere in either Nolan or Taylor Co. I found probate records that would indicate Nolan but when I checked with the county recorder, there are no records on them. Anyway, they died in 1907, 1908, 1909 respectively and they owned property around Hylton. My Stits(Stitts, Stitz) family has connections with the Childers family and I know that my gg grandparents(Virgil & Mary) from another line are buried in Campbell Cemetery. Also, some property was deeded that mentions Gardners pre-emptive survey and a W. J. Lynn's pre-emptive survey and I noticed that these surenames are also in Campbell Cemetery. Anyway, I'm just wondering if you have any clues on finding out who has the burial records for this cemetery, as I'm hoping that the Unknown graves might be a few of my Stitts. Thank you in advance for your help.

Would you recheck the names and memorial numbers you sent me on Frances. Names and numbers don't make the obvious connections. Thanks.

Thank you Janie!
Janie, I want to thank you for the info on my great uncle Col. Scales' parents. I added them to his grave link and really appreciate it! I plan on visiting my sister soon, and I think she has some old family photos I may be able to add to the Scales family virtual graves. Hope so anyway. Thanks for all you do for us! Donna

RE: Emma Hertenberger Rogers
Very good. Do you think cremation may be the answer and later on they may bury the ashes at the site of the husband. I have come across that before.
