I'm the secretary treasurer of the Dora Cemetery Association. I'm interested in any information related to the Dora Cemetery located near Dora, Oregon. I'm currently taking pictures of all grave markers, restoring them, and recovering unused gravesites in the cemetery. I have a great personal connection to this cemetery as it is my family cemetery. I have spent more hours than you can count researching the people interred in Dora Cemetery. I would prefer NOT to transfer memorials from Dora Cemetery as I am constantly working on adding obituaries, links, and historical information. BUT I am perfectly willing to add information for you!!

Remember YOU CAN ADD ANY MEMORIALS TO YOUR VIRTUAL do not need to be the owner/manager. That way, you can still have all your family together, even if the memorial is maintained by somebody else!!!

You may be related to someone but so is someone else. I may be related to that person too. It is a small world. That is why I cannot transfer memorials in the Dora Cemetery at this time.

Kennedy Hector Hansen
Hi Ernie, thank you for taking care of the duplicate profiles for Kennedy and Ida. My question was an honest one. Who knows what information is about when it comes to burials? I was surprised to find the other profiles, yet the gravestones were rather convincing.

I've been hunting the siblings of this family for five years. is where I have found my information. Kennedy and a couple of his siblings changed their name from their given Danish names, so their burial locations (and records in general) have been an adventure to find.

Again, thank you for your hard work and generous response. I appreciate it.

Fred McCown
Hi Mr. Krewson,
Just dropping you a note to let you know there are duplicate memorials for Fred V./Fred Vernon McCown at Claggett Cemetery. Although the names are slightly different the b. and d. dates are identical. Your memorial was created in 2013 after the first one, #27056524, was created in 2012. At your convenience, will you please coordinate with the other contributor to combine the two?

Best wishes.

Roger Tavernier
I there a way to link Roger Tavernier #144286076 to his brother, Michael #105295380, as I don't have any info about his parents, Ray & Betty?

Hello Sue -
The death certificate you have attached to Aaron James Hoover is actually the death certificate for Arthur James Hoover:
birth: May 3 1875 - Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio
death: September 15, 1942 - Myrtle Point, Coos County, Oregon.

Aaron Hoover, however, died on July 4, 1881.
Using the Tombstone Birthday Calculator
to determine his birth date based on dying at the age of 58 years, 8 months,
the birth date for Aaron Hoover was November 4, 1822.

The obituary for the wife of Aaron Hoover, Christina (Warner) Hoover, confirms his date of death as July 4, 1881.

Thanks for all the work you put into the find-a-grave site - it's a great help for everyone looking for great grandpa!

Anne Fritz

Matilda Martha (Shaw) Willard
Thank you for adding Matilda's death certificate. My mother is the one who had the tombstone made in memory of my father. Unfortunately she did so after dad died and messed all of them up. I asked for the corrections to be made as they have not been as of yet. How did you happen to have her death certificate? Are you related? Matilda is my great great grandmother. She raised my grandfather (Loren George Willard) along with his siblings after their mother Anna Matilda Willard died in 1905. If you are related or have more information on my family I would love to connect.
