January, 2016
I will have limited computer access during January. I will make all updates as time allows.

When I walk a cemetery, I make a note of other nearby relatives, the section/area I am in and include it in my transcriptions. When you are researching a 'John Smith', it helps to know if there are other 'Smith' names next to him.
Some cemeteries restrict photo taking by non-family members. Having any plot information helps all of the photo volunteers.
When I first started, I just wrote down names without photos. Now I take photos of all of the headstones.

Quite often I find myself researching the folks that I create memorials for, adding additional information and linking as many as I can locate.

As time allows, I am willing to do some Oregon obituary research for others. This is my form of 'Pay It Forward'.

I will make corrections/additions to any memorial that I have created.

All requests are verified before I change the memorial.

Hi Ann

I'm writing to ask permission to use your photo of Jesse & Nellie Kamery in Mount Crest Abbey Mausoleum for my Ancestry tree. My credit will read: Find A Grave photo taken by 'Ann'. I've found my photos on both Ancestry and Find A Grave with someone else taking credit, so I know how you feel.

Thank you

Hello Ann, Is it possible to transfer record 100131339 to me? Edith M (Reisinger-Merrell) was my paternal grandmother.

Thank you,

RE: Irwin family in Lee Mission Cemetery
I moved their memorials to Belcrest with a note about being reinterred. You can post your photos now.

I entered them in Lee Mission based on their website and the obituary. We did photograph Lee Mission and apparently did not find a stone, but that is not unusual at their dod. Lots of stones disappear over time, especially the smaller ones.
