I have been into genealogy and walking cemeteries since 2006. One side of my family comes from southern Iowa/Northern Missouri (Wayne County and Mercer County) via Pennsylvania (Hempfield, West Moorland). The other side from Norway to Bode in Humboldt County, Iowa. Those Norwegians are hard to figure out! I also have roots in Greene County and scattered around the state. I would be happy to go to any cemeteries in central Iowa when time permits, just let me know where and who I am looking for and I will get there as soon as I can. I am also willing to look up information needed on a person at the local libraries when I go. I keep a list of requests and will be happy to add more. |
If I have added a memorial for your family and that person is not in mine, I am willing to transfer.

Can you correct the spelling on Evelina Maland (name), buried in Norway Township Cemetery? Thank you for putting the entries out there! You can also relate her to E J Maland (father) and Hilda Maland (mother). I might try to add the relationships but I'm not sure it will let me.

Betsy, Thank you so very much for taking a photo of the grave marker for Joe L Cady Jr at Williams Cemetery. It is very much appreciated! I hope you will allow me to add the photo to my trees noting, of course, that you were the photographer. Sincerely, Kim Lovell

|Angela Anderson||RE: DATES|
My husband works for the City of Clarion and I have a list of names from the Geneological society that went through and wrote down names and the section they are in. I do not have the dates on this list, and thought that at least if I got names in, they can go out to the section and get the rest. Most people are just glad to find them by name, and eventually I plan on going out and getting pictures and info off them. What one are you so concerned about for the dates, I will go out and get it for you.
Thank you so much for taking the remaining Chaffee Pics. may I have permission to use the picture on my Wikitree (with credit to you of course)?

Not a problem, Betsy. I was busy on another project tonight so I read your question and then the follow up at the same time.
Thank you so much for the info. I've set up Memorials for Erastus and his wife Charlotte and based on the info you sent I also did ones for Lyman and ella (Their Children)
I'll put in photo requests for them asap.

Thank you so much for taking the picture of his stone in Glenwood Cemetery.
I noted that the main stone appears to have engravings on the other side of it from Burtons info but Burton is the only one listed in the cemetery. Could you let me know who else is listed on his stone.
Erastus his father? Or possibly Charlotte his mother? or both? Thank you so much!!
