Tollevia Barker
Death Claims Mrs. Tollevia Barker At Home In City

Mrs. Tollevia Barker, a resident of Casper since 1907, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edison Hughes, 162 North Park, Saturday night, following a short illness.

Mrs. Barker was born in Winston, Mo., Oct. 1, 1856, and came to Casper in 1907. She was the wife of the late John Barker, who died here in Casper in 1917. The daughter is the only survivor.

Mrs. Barker was a Charter member of the Baptist Church of Casper and also the Baptist Aid Society.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Gay chapel with the Rev. Eugene M. Wilson, pastor of the First Baptist Church, in charge

Tollevia Barker
I found an obit for Tollevia. Would you like me to put it on here or e-mail it to you. She passed way on April 25, 1942. She is buried in the Highland Cemetery. Block 44, Lot 9, Grave 1. I will go out and look to see if John's name is on the headstone and take a picture of it.

John J. Barker
The link might not work. Go to I found his obit by typing in his name "John J. Barker". I also found it under "Tolleva". It is in the Casper Record on Feb. 20, 1917, page 3. It states they had one child named Maud. It doesn't say where he died other than at his home. More than likely it was in Casper. You might be able to get an uncertified copy of his death record from the Wyoming State Archives. You can get one for free from them, I believe.

John J. Barker
I live in Casper but the request has already been claimed. I do ask people if they want the obits for the person who they are requesting the headstone. I found the obit for John on It is the Wyoming Newspaper Project website. It give his exact birth date, death date stating it was in 1917. I hope this helps. This website has papers for Wyoming from 1891-1922 or around there.

I have the high resolution images of Seth W Cole's memorial. It's still difficult to make out. I forgot my rubbing stuff so I didn't get a rub of it but, I will next time I head over there. If you give me your email I will send you the high resolution images.

Cora is my 5th cousin 3x removed. Are you related too?? Her father William was my 4th cousin 4x removed. I am a decendant of the Raub/Raup family from PA. Let me know if you and I are connected. Thanks! You will find the name spelled differently in findagrave somewhere down the line someone didnt know how to spell it and it changed here and there. I'm also guessing that in Hungary / Germany where they came from it may have been spelled differently there too. So its hard to track down all the children of the decendants, but i'm still working on it (smile)

Cora B. King. Can you add info to her bio? Her maiden name was Cora Bell Raup born September 16, 1874 died March 01, 1965, daughter of William Raup and Mary Elizabeth Kunkel Raup you can find them on findagrave too.

Her husbnd was James H. King also at that same cemetery. If possible can you link them?

Thank you so much.
