RE: FAG 49219707 David Auld

The David and Jane McKinley Auld and family were neighbors and good friends of my Robert Carroll line in East Finley, Washington Co PA and are buried in the Carroll family cemetery located on the original farm. They had seven children all born in county Antrim, Ireland. There was a Hugh Auld born 1786 but no James.
We have a source showing the auld, m'Carrol, and M'Kinley as Flax growers of Ireland 1796 County Antrim. There is a James listed from Balltrashane.

There was a younger Carroll son that came to America before 1790 Richard McCarroll was his name and may have traveled with the Auld's.

That is all I have. Hope that helps and provides a lead for you.

I have been traveling but will check my records for you. The Aulds and Carroll families were close and had some family marriages. The Aulds went off to Ohio and some of the young Aulds served in the Civil War at very young ages. They also became very successful in business in the Cleveland OH area.

Henry Hoon Memorial
Annette, glad to make the transfer of Henry Hoon to his 3rd great grand daughter. I am sure he will be well looked after.

Best regards,

Kurt Albert

RE: Photos
I did actually see your request, and I DID take them. I did not claim them, because I can never guarantee that I get them up in the "required" 2-week window.

But, yes, I got 'em!

Just letting you know that they have merged the info and now there is just one memorial.

Just a note to let you know that I have contacted Find-A-Grave and given them the info so they can make a decision. I will remove mine if that is what they decide.

Sorry for the duplicate, but mine is the original. The edits to mine were made after edit suggestions were posted, and further research was done. It should have been obvious to the person creating the other memorial that these were the same people. When a memorial is created, it's common for edits to be made and further information to be added. Not sure why he refuses to remove his.
