Bio and Links
Bio Photo A reason to work on family history:

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord . . . And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."
Malachi 4:5-6

A reason to volunteer on Find A Grave:

"And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God."
Mosiah 2:17

I am not doing this for any self-righteous purpose, but only for the reasons listed above.

In fairness to those who may have closer ties to a memorial, please read the Transfer Guidelines prior to requesting a transfer. You do not need to "manage" every memorial that is part of your family tree. Remember that this site is for locating burials, not building a tree. There are other websites that are more suited for that purpose. I will be happy to make any links and corrections. PLEASE use the SAC feature ("Edit" tab). Please feel free to add photos where appropriate, as you do not need to manage the memorial to add photos.

Please consider using the "virtual cemetery" feature on this site to keep track of relations.

Since March 2013 I have taken over management of memorials in Inglewood Park Cemetery from Chris Mills. Please continue to send suggestions for corrections using the "Edit" tab and I will get to them as soon as I can.

RE: Photo Request
Gee really competative there in Inglewood. Notified you right after I posted the request. I have some requests at cemetaries that go unclaimed for months. Next time will let you know before I post. Just found the death notice tonight of where she was buried.

Thanks again
Dwayne

I am also looking for a Albert Hays Busch (b.1898 - ) husband of Mary Busch ( Memorial# 48711421 ) daughter of Mason Hawpe - you took her grave photo and their daughter..Mary Amelia Busch born 1929. Don't know what happened to them.

If you should happen to run across them.

RE: Photo request
Bonnie,
Go ahead and post the photo and I will followup per your directions. I agree that the requester should be happy as that also makes me happy. John and I work together on Find A Grave photos. We are not doing it for recognition but for the pleasure of helping other people. We have traveled to many states and visited many cemeteries while working on our own genealogy.

It sounds like it would be fun to work with the group at Woodlawn. John and I went there one Sat and were very overwhelmed. We would appreciate if you would keep us in the loop for times and dates when the "Woodlawn Volunteers" are meeting.

John and I understand what old and forlorn cemeteries are like. A large number of John's ancestors are buried in old church cemeteries in Alabama.

Look forward to hearing back re Nicola and Woodlawn Volunteers.

Sincerely,
Janet

RE: Martha Bryan
Hi Bonnie, Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. Why don't you go ahead and post Nicola Giaquinto's photo since it is a double headstone. Please let me know when to unclaim it so you are ready to claim it. I would like to coordinate efforts with you. Have you had any luck at Woodlawn in Compton?
Sincerely, Janet
P.S. My husband, John Hall, also has an account with find a grave.
