I am retired and love to work on my family genealogy. I was born and raised in Paradise, CA, left in 1957 and returned 2004. My father came to Paradise in 1926 and passed away here in June of 2007. I am researching Gobin, Shoemaker, Hennings, Schaefer, Wurster, Crenshaw, Harness, Ellis, Shrimp/Schrimp, Allen, Henderson, Buster, Perry, Rousseau, Taylor, lines as well as many others|
I am also adding local graves to Findagrave in the hopes others will be helped as others are helping me by their entries. All I ask is if you want to use any pictures I have added, please let me know.

Thanks you so much for the photo of Joseph Lee Bayles grave site. I was sad to see there is no marker. I'm going to contact the veterans administration to see if I can get something done.

|Marie searching||RE: Lillian Ruth McMahon-Paradise|
I am looking for Lillian Ruth Rodd McMahon, her husband is buried in Paradise Cemetery. Memorial# 91868475
Lillian was born 1914 and she passed away in Paradise Jan 8 2011
I was assuming she was buried with her husband. I will look into this further since you don't have any records for her. I appreciate your quick response. Thank you!

Muhlenberg County is well know for it coal industry. Although I am not sure exactly where Paradise Mine was locate that that specific time, the mining town of Paradise was located on the Green River in the north-eastern part of the county. Do you mind to share the name of your great-grandmother? Do you know much about her family?

Thank you so much Sherrie for adding the photo of my Mother's stone to Find A Grave. I had a photo of the unfinished stone but I have never seen it with the ending date inscribed thereon. Thank you again.
