I've been interested in genealogy for a long time and thoroughly enjoy the time I spend in cemeteries, whether it's for my own benefit or someone else's. |
If anyone wants to use headstone pictures that I post, feel free -- no royalties required. I'm also happy to take any other pictures of the area that you would like -- let me know what you want and I will do my best.
If you have any additional information that you would like added to memorials that I manage, let me know. I want each memorial to be as complete and accurate as possible. I'm also happy to transfer memorials to relatives/friends who want to manage them, so please don't create a duplicate. I believe that memorials are best taken care of by the people who loved them.
My ultimate goal is to photographically document all of the cemeteries in my area so that the existence of the people buried there is available to future generations and to ensure that people who can't visit on their own can still see a picture of the stone.
Note re Kirkland Cemetery: This is a heavily treed cemetery and many of the stones are covered in moss. If there is a particular stone that you would like re-photographed, feel free to let me know and I will see what I can do to clean up the stone.
-- Cedar Lawns (done)
-- Kirkland Cemetery (Done. Many, many unmarked graves in this cemetery. Many stones very deteriorated.)
-- Redmond Community Cemetery (Done)
-- Sunset Hills (The outside is complete, with only the Sunset Mausoleum left to finish)
Although I have marked a cemetery as done, new graves may have been added and/or I may have missed a couple, despite my best efforts to be organized.

Thanks Mary for the nice photo of the Fielding marker. I'll also try to stay on top of the completion of the death date on the marker.

I appreciate your efforts. thank you so much. Were you able to take a picture of James? I remember they were hiking at the base of Mt Rainier, Paradise Park, I believe, when all of a sudden he dropped dead from a heart attack. They loved to hike so I guess it was fitting he was doing something he loved. I worked with Linda years ago at the US Attorney's office in seattle and we lost track over the years. I have no idea why she'd be in Kent tho since she always lived in the other direction - towards Bellevue.

Thank you so much for trying to get the picture for Roy. It is always so sad when the graves are unmarked. Thanks again and have a great day. Gary Maret
Thank you for the two "Hoops" transfers yesterday and for posting the nice headstone photo. It was very kind of you.

Thank you for your generosity in transferring:
Melba Alice Peterson Newhouse # 98293289
to my care.
I have successfully connected her with parents, and four of her five siblings. As I receive more information, I will add it to Our shared memorial.
With sincerest appreciation,
