Would you be mad if I put a picture of him on the site? Because someone else is mad that I put pictures of my father on site.

George was born in Canada and died in Washington. His parents were born in Russia. George immigrated to America in 1923 as per the census; he was employed as an elevator operator.
George married Proscovia "Alice" John Corboff about 1926 in San Francisco, CA. They settled on Potrero Hill in San Francisco. The 1930 shows the family living at 725 Carolina Street. They have four children: Mary, Rose, Raymond, and Laura. George and Alice divorced sometime in the 1940's.
The Seattle Passenger and Crew Lists shows George:
Age 53, born in 1900 in Canada
He was an American.
The arrival date was 11/14/1953 in Seattle, WA; the ship "Idaho Falls" departed from Vancouver, British Colubia
His position in the ship's company was as a "F/WT"; the length of service shows as 7 years. He was 177 pounds, 5'8"; birthdate shows as 7/15/1900. He shipped out of San Francisco, CA on 9/28/1953.

Please add the following for Alice's memorial. I am no direct relationship; however, I do research the Russian Molokans who immigrated to America circa 1905 and beyond.
Alice "Proscovia John" (Corboff) Bydalek was born in Salem, Kars, Russia (now Eastern Turkey)
She died in Centralia, WA
She is the daughter of John Rodney Corboff (1888-1963) and Maria Slivkoff (abt 1891-?). She immigrated with her mother, brother and sister about 1913. Her father was already living in San Francisco, CA.
Alice was married twice. She first married George Chico about 1926. They had four children, Mary, Rose, Raymond, and Laura. Her second husband was Henry Herbert Bydalek (1899-1963).
Chronicle, The (Centralia, WA) - August 15, 2003
Proscovia Alice Bydalek
On August 9, 2003 our beloved mother, Proscovia Alice Bydalek, went home to be with our Lord Jesus. She was born May 23, 1910 in Salem Kars, Turkey. At the age of 3 she, her mother, father, mother Bill, and sister Mary migrated to America - first to New York, NY, then to San Francisco, CA. There she met and fell in love with George Chico. They had 4 children, Mary Alice Chico (Penna), Rose Lucille Chico (Fields), Raymond George Chico, and Laura Ann Chico (Echols). George worked for Standard Oil Co for 25 years. They moved to Port Orchard, WA in the late 1940's. They were divorced a few years later. Alice met and married Henry Herbert Bydalek a few years later. Mr. Bydalek passed away in the early 1960's. Alice later moved to Sequim, WA where she had lived several years and later moved to Centralia, WA where she has lived for the last 15 years.
She loved her family and her friends very much. She was very active in church and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, canning, and making homemade apple cider. She loved her farm in Port Orchard where her children grew up. On her farm she raised livestock, chickens, etc. She had also re-roofed the whole house herself. She was very proud of that.
Preceding her in death are her parents Mary Sliv-coff and John Rodney Corboff; her brothers, Alex, William, and George Corboff; her sisters Mary and Lucille Corboff. She is survived by her brother, Danny Corboff and sister, Vicky Corboff; daughters Mary Alice, Rose Lucille, and Laura Ann; and son Raymond George; grand-children, Al Penna, Jr, Dianne Penna, Laura Priscilla Thelin, Ronald Chico, Lezlie Tabert, William Robert Thelin, Rodney Russell Thelin, Cindy Chico, Ricky Chico, Jenny Quade, John Quade, Becky Quade, and numer-ous great grand-children.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at 1:00 PM at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Interment will follow at Sedgwick Cemetery in Port Orchard.
