I'm back, with refreshed PC in 2013! If you asked me for something before please ask me again! Thank You! |
Hi, I'm Kathryn Gebczyk, my maiden name is Taylor, born and raised in Yuba City, California. I've been married for 30 years this October 2006, we've lived most of that time in Wisconsin. We have 3 sons, a daughter-in-law and a grandson. I'm a hunter, I started after I got married. I wanted to go hunting when I was young but my dad didn't think I should. This past deer season I got a nine point buck. My son is a taxidermist and the other night he asked me out to see my buck, he is gorgeous I can't wait to put him on the wall. This spring I'm going turkey hunting, my son thinks I'll really enjoy it ~ we will see. I love to go fishing, nothing better then hooking into a fish. I use to spend most of my time crocheting, but carpel tunnel put a stop to that. I've tried other crafts but they weren't the same, so I got into genealogy. I love looking for family along with all the history that comes with it. Imagine that, me liking history ~ hated it in school. I hope I can help others find some family member they are looking for or better yet, one they didn't know they had. Not all that I put on is my relation. I may be at a cemetery, see a name that I think might be related or just take a fancy to a grave. If you're related please let me know and if you want to take care of their page, just ask. Also if I have something wrong ~ I'll want to make it right, so just e-mail me. If you have any questions, I'll answer them the best I can. Thanks for looking in on me and "Happy Grave Finding", Kathryn
I got this from a Find A Grave friend, Susanna!

I'm hoping that you can help me. I've found my great grandfather John Costello buried in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Tomah, Wi. Do you know if there might be any personal information on him that would be available when he was buried? I'm not sure where it might be available. I'm sure the church might have some (I've sent them an email) but I'm wondering if the cemetery might have some also. If it's something that I can obtain, I'd be willing to make a donation to whom ever you think would be appreciate. Thank you for your time.........colleen pleas send your response to email@example.com

Kathryn, thanks for your reply. If you could just drop "Corp" that would make it right. I know that somewhere this was added for his military rank. The correct abbreviation would be CPL but I wouldn't add that. Mac was quite a character! Thanks.

I came across your page on the above named who was a friend of mine in Vietnam. We were in the same platoon; both of us were M-60 Machine Gunners.
I was curious as to why the "Corp" would have been added to Mac's name? That would have represented his rank, corporal, in the US Army. I was thinking, and correct me if I'm wrong, that it would be appropriate to just drop that from his name.
I see that you are from Yuba City and I know that was Mac's home; we talked about our homes back in the states. By the way, you don't have access to his obituary or know of any relatives, do you?
Please let me hear from you

Thanks so much Kathryn. I'll take good care of the

First of all -- thank you for your work with Find-a-grave. It is so appreciated!
Anna Berry was my husband's 2greatgrandmother - wife of John Berry. Do you have any additional information on her - including her maiden name?

Thank you so much for inquiring about these 3 graves. However, the Church will not be able to transfer them to you as they are being taken care of on behalf of the Triplett family who still attend our church today. Wishing you only the best, Sincerely, C.V.

I saw that Emily's memorial had a history that listed her daughter Candice. Do you have any idea where Candice is buried? My mother and I have been trying to find her but don't know where to look.

Who are your Hargrave people? My mother was a Hargrave. Can you e-mail me privately at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can compare notes?
I have a huge brick wall after Edward and Eliza Jackson Hargraves. My grandfather was John Charles Hargrave, Jr. (b. 1905), his father was John C. Hargraves (b 1871), and his father was Edward Hargraves (b ca 1835 in Eng).
I only have the information on Edward because I hunted down Mary Hargraves Kivler Still in Harrisburg and ordered her death certificate. The rest of the children have "unknown" for the parents.
All the best,
