I've always been interested in cemetery art, and think FAG is a wonderful way to share photographs I've taken over the years. The concept of volunteers helping families in search of loved ones is one I can easily support.
If I have created a memorial for a member of your immediate family and you would like me to transfer it to you, just send me a message. If the memorial is for one of my immediate family members. . .hello, cuz - we probably have a lot to talk about.
If I have photographed your family member's grave, and you want to use the photo for your own genealogy records or online family tree website, you DO NOT have to ask my permission. Just right click and copy the photo to your own computer. If you want a larger photo, please e-mail me, as I use a batch resizer to make photos smaller for posting on FAG, pursuant to the website's requirements. You may wish to take a screenshot of my profile page if you are using one of my photos in order to prove that you have my written permission to freely use the photo for non-commercial purposes.
8/19/12 ETA: There seems to be some controversy over "written permission" on photographs that appears in the FAG forums but not here on the main site that says you MUST have written permission to use a photo from the photographer. Please consider the foregoing paragraph in my bio your written permission to use my photos. You might want to copy and paste it into some document that you keep forever and pass down to your descendants...
Please note that I do not place the text of recent obits on records to avoid publishing the names of children on the internet. Yes, I know if the obituary was searchable that their names are out there, but not by me...
Some family surnames I am researching include: Ashmore, Balding, Bowden, Burris, Callaway, Chapin, Chronister, Crites, Duvall, Fairweather, Grooms, Herrington, Lensing, McBrayer, Meek, Parrish, Pettit, Shinn, Strickland, Toomey, Webb, Wharton, Williams, Wingfield and Yeager.
Surnames I research for other families include Barber, Clark, Engelmohr, Letterman, Massengale, Reed, Roach, Southern, Schmiedeskamp, and Siebert.

 | James Franklin Burris Jr. Hi Dee - James Franklin Burris Jr. was my great-grandfather. I have some pictures that I will post later. Thanks for the detail on the family. He and Mary Abigail Bailey Burris were married before 1918 - I'll get the date. I also have a picture of the Burris home in Atkins ca. 1880 with James F Burris postmaster and Malinda on the porch with daughter Flory. Will post that too. | | | Robyn Ender
 | Chapin Hi Dee -
I found your listing for Lucretia S Chapin 1833-1854. I saw that you have parents and grandparents names. I'm hoping that maybe you have more information that might help me. I have Lucretia living in Malone, NY in 1850 with Norman and Eliza Jones. I'm wondering if you have any information that might indicate that she is the sister of Eliza A Jones. I am desperately trying to find Eliza's maiden name and this is the best hint I've had yet. Any info greatly appreciated! You can contact me directly at robynender@hotmail.com
Thanks, Robyn

 | Burris Family names Hi Dee, I've come across all the wonderful Find A Grave photos and information on the Burris family while researching my Burris line. My ancestor is Frances Burris Martin. She would be my maternal great-great grandmother and married Joseph or James Martin. A cousin sent a photo of a woman and on the back it says F. B. Burris. We don't know who she is. We thought it might be Frances but the clothing she has on looks more recent than our Frances might have worn. I would like for you to see it and see what you think. My email is khats1947@hughes.net. I also have a private family tree on ancestry but the photo isn't on there. Thank you for giving me permission to use the information an photos on Find A Grave. Kathy Shaw | | | Patti Sedillo
 | Sarah Ivie Balding Went to Westcliffe yesterday to try and see if Sarah's death date had been added to the bench. Unfortunately, the snow in the Ula cemetery was too deep to get around in. I'll try again - later on in the spring. Patti | | | Mary Creech
